For those commenting about waste of mortar on floor...it is perfectly normal since it should always be considered atleast 10-15% waste in mortar in the material estimate and blocks wastage is around 5% waste...so yes it is perfectly NORMAL...

Why do they did not put reinforcing steelbars? I guess this structure has no strenght to resists air, wind, rain or earthquake...here in the Philippines it is a must that we will consider the strenght , and to include this same size of this fence or small structure..we put vertical bars and horizontal bars too..I guess this is only a show of circus construction of their country...wheres the column footing? No columns too.. The placed blocks are not filled with the mixed concrete fillers. Here in the Philippines we consider this as a joke, and not normal..hehehe

I got him beat! Anybody can lay block from right to left when right handed but he can't lay from left to right.....wasting time and strength as he goes higher....being able to alternate per course gives muscles to rest
Hard to tell from the angle just how well the block are being laid. He has a good pace. I learned the set up a bit differently. We like to stand the block up on their ears and mud the head joints all at one time. Been at it 30+ years now. Lay mostly brick these days.
I’m Bricky from the U.K. and although lot been said about not filling the joints and cutting the snots off! There’s no denying that he is quick and it look plum, I reckon under normal rules he could fill the beds and perps and still finish a wall before I have drunk my tea. Don’t forget it’s a concrete block wall, it’s not meant to be pretty. Good effort, fella

Speed with masonry is all about waisted movements. You notice when this mason gets mud from the boards he is only tapping is trowel 1 time. I have worked with so many Masons that will, tap, tap, tap there trowels, really slows down progress. He also is not tapping g the block, probably not the straightest block, but it may not matter in this case. He is keeping the block close to his body when picking them up, therefore, saving unessasary whear and tear on him. Nice work my friend! Make sure to always plumb your lead on the line side, helps for a straighter wall.....)
Y ou are fast there is some wasted moments when you are laying block to the line try seting the bottom of the block flush to the corse below the roll to block out to the line if the block needs to go down some push down that way you donot have to tap on it with your trowel allso instead of cuting the mud off with your trowel and leting it fall to the ground try saving it on your trowel for the headjoin so you do not have to go back to the mudbord

Debo pensar que solo hicieron una demostración para la foto. La longitud de esa pared carece de columnas. Cualquier constructor sabe que en los arranques tanto en el medio y en los extremos se corta la luz. Estructuralmente no esta trabajando, solo es una pared sin refuerzo. También cada 3 hiladas lleva 2 fierros del diámetro 6. El material sobrante por los bordes se recoge y se usa sin desperdicio. Cuando termina hasta la altura correspondiente el material caído se pone duro y es dinero tirado en limpiar, por que se pone duro. En resumen es solo una chapuseada para la foto. Habemos muchos albañiles que conocemos de oficio y no comemos vidrio.
Mira soy albañil calificado aquí en panamá noce como se trabaje en otro país pero aquí en panamá por más chica que sea una pared o muro como le llames hay que ponerle barra de acero o hierro como le llames no critico tu trabajo porque noce como es en otro pais por lo demás seve genial saludos
He's good but a building must have a wire and steel,and inside the blocks must have sand and gravel mix with 1 bag 40 kgs cement and 2 box 40x40cm sand and 3 gravels.and a a phase 2 buiding you need a strong foundation using steel concrete cement or a beam,and a post and a beam holding the slab

Still mortar sticking out here and there, causing problems for the next workers. His name should be sloppy joe. I bet the mortar is weak too so they can afford to spill it. Never double checking if the line hasn't moved. 7:56 The way he taps the block there is going to move it out of position. And you have to use the spirit level on both sides of the end of the block. I guarantee that the corners are not straight.
Looks awesome. But I know that not only the high qualification is the key for such fast work but a very good cement mixture with some unknown for me additives. Because I know that in summer hot weather even one regular clay brick will not be properly placed with usual cement- sand mixture.

@@newageopinions870 I was a mason Forman for over 40 years, real boots beat on their levels. If you can't lay bricks and blocks close enough to plumb or level that you can just tap them plumb with the butt of your trowel, you need to take up house painting. Stay safe

BS a craftsman cuts the mortar from the bed joint from block just laid and uses it to butter the head joint for the next block.

Looks awesome. But I know that not only the high qualification is the key for such fast work but a very good cement mixture with some unknown for me additives. Because I know that in summer hot weather even one regular clay brick will not be properly placed with usual cement- sand mixture.

Those levels can take a lot more beating than what he was giving them. Stabila levels are by far the best levels for masonry, IMO.
@@newageopinions870 I was a mason Forman for over 40 years, real boots beat on their levels. If you can't lay bricks and blocks close enough to plumb or level that you can just tap them plumb with the butt of your trowel, you need to take up house painting. Stay safe
