Question, in-person about how much do the charge, does it have to be upfront or once you receive your taxes?
What if I only have my paystub's and I'll have my W-2 yet? I have my ID my social and my daughters social. Will there be enough to do it to apply
4 years ago we lost our CPA to retirement. We never had an issue with the IRS in 20 years. We started using Jackson Hewitt 3 years ago. This year we found out our taxes were incorrectly accounted for over the last 3 years. This cost us $7k of our refund this year. Needless to say at almost 4X the cost we used to pay our CPA to do our taxes, we will NOT be using Jackson Hewitt ever again.

I just filed with JH using some tips from you. I did run into areas that I wish you would have covered for a newbie like me. I did find most of it very easy, the IRA stuff I got tripped up on ( I used Google), and when you go to actually file it you are asked for a AIG amount to enter from line 8 B from previous years tax return. It was hard for me to find with so many lines and forms with similar numbers.
I wondered why you didn't offer the promo code through to May 17th this year? I paid the $49.00, no real biggie, I am getting enough back and then some in my refund..........if I don't end up in jail! LOL J/K, my first time doing it myself so I will have to wait and see. Thanks for doing this it was helpful.

I’m on social security retirement benefits and i missed out on the first and second stimulus payments. I went to Jackson Hewitt to file my 2020 taxes so that i could get the first and second stimulus payments. I do qualify for 1800.00 but i have know idea when I will see that money. @@loganallec1824 I posted that question a while ago back I called the IRS and I found out that the liberty tax office that I went to file my taxes wrong they put in the wrong deduction info and they made me look like I only made 3500 for the year which is incorrect so now I got audited and I have to fix everything I don’t know what to do so weird

When I did work I left H&R Block n went to Jackson Haute n I know it’s not spelled right I went with them bc they are cheaper than H&R Block when it comes to paying for their service on getting your taxes done

Put some low-level untrained stay and fad office trainers
They overcharged me $700+ to do my 5axes for a 1040 for 2020 and then they screwed royalty
Any of the tax software, in my opinion, will beat taking your information to an in person preparer.
Not only in cost, but in privacy.
