  • For years now, the CPAC convention - that would be the Conservative Political Action Committee - has served as the gold standard of Donald Trump pep rallies. But this year there was something different. Argentina’s Javier Milei, a foreign leader, speaking a foreign language, held the crowd spellbound for an hour with a LECTURE ON ECONOMICS. Why such a euphoric reaction from American Conservatives? Answers in this episode of Right Angle.

Bill has it right as usual. We need competent leaders who have real world experience. Just because you got elected in the 1970's or 1980's doesn't mean you have experience in what works best for the people. It just means you have experience in doing what's best for yourself and your party affiliation.

Years ago, I read an article about how they translated the writings of Ayn Rand into Spanish. Rands books were selling a lot in Argentina. Years later, we have Javier. It goes to show, just how important education is.
If Javier Milei is successful, I wonder if we see a domino effect in Latin America. Will free markets spreads to the rest of Latin America?

It goes in a cycle down there. They have prosperity from someone like Balsonaro or Millei who cuts out all the chaff, drops crime, makes the country livable and everyone is doing better and the economy grows. This recovery to prosperity happens quickly like has happened in Argentina.
Then the people who don't want to work and would rather seize what others have built, call it their own, then run it into the ground, manage to get in, like Chavez and Maduro. This persists for 10 to 25 years and usually hundreds of thousands are imprisoned, perish due to starvation/crime, or are given permanent equilibrium with ambient temp by the regime. Manage to get in is a pleasant way of saying the count includes 200% of residents appearing, and these people are installed. Like Evers, Whitmer, The potato, etc.
The people grow weary of being starved, heavily taxed to pad the coffers of the elites who they cannot get rid of, and the military stages a coup. They live with a military junta for ten years or so before they get another Balsonaro type.

There are two opposing goals depending on the government:
Western governments want to take us to a place where we own nothing and be happy. (The opposite to capitalism).
Great leaders like Trump, Melei prefere capitalism where the people are prosperous.

that's right. it is the difference between ethical capitalism and crony capitalism. Crony capitalism is the government's useless rules, regulations, and taxes.
Ethicla capitalsim is that you keep what you earn and you can use it as you like, ETHICALLY.
The problem is you can't even find ethics in a church in a country that is a Consitutional Republic whose founding documents were made bedrock on Judeo-Christian ideals.
