You have one of the healthiest minds I have ever come across on these horsemanship channels. You are experienced and adept, yet always open and learning from whomever or whatever is happening. Way beyond "natural" theory of training, I find that you consistently opt for what is actually best for the horse in any given moment no matter what that looks like. I see you readily taking responsibility for when things don't go well, where other trainers might scapegoat the horse. Thanks for being so dedicated to the horses you work with, and offering a model based on love of the horse. I don't pretend to know you, but your expression of genuine commitment in your work makes you stand out in a field where egos can become an obstacle.
Whoever buys that horse is going to be so lucky. Snooze just takes everything in stride! Such a pretty mare. Your training style and her personality fit together so well. ❤️
As a English rider, I can confirm Snooze is ADORABLE in English! I would totally put a bid in on her her if I was in the position to do so! I’m in love with those photos you too of her, her coat has gotten SO much richer and healthier! Wow who ever gets her is going to be the luckiest person, and I can’t wait for Snooze to find her person! ❤️
She reminds me of my childhood quarter horse. She'd love to stop on us kids all the time, especially if she found something she wanted to eat! We could get her to trot but keeping her in a canter was much harder.. She was very chill and tolerant of us little brats though. We never really had to worry about her running off on us though except a few occasions when she was just done with us & wanted to go back to the barn. I could see this horse making a great horse for kids one day bc she's so laid back.
@ Eve Delight we always had ponys n a horse when I grew up . We'd play cowboy tag. If ur were it/🤔 u had to knock someone off of there mount n order to make them it . LOL . We also had an old buck board, what fun it was . Unfortunately it burnt up n my dad's barn after lightning struck it . How I'd love to have that buck board now ! Country heathens/brats ? LOL .
This mare is so beautiful and intelligent, she has a lot of potential, I also need to let you know that she needed someone like you to bring out the best in her, excellent job
She’s amazing. WOW! You’ve done such a great job. She was such a fast learner. You’ve really prepared her for her new home. She’s gonna make someone very happy.
She reminds me of the mustang I had in 1980...Tasha was awesome and we competed under English and western but was especially wonderful on trail. Back then we had figure out the training on our own...computers were not even invented much less RUclips. You guys have an amazing resource to share ideas and tips! Keep up the good work!
Snooze looks wonderful Sam, I think you have all around schoolmaster in the making here. Snooze is like western? no problem.. english ? I can do that too... oh you want to trail? watch me handle tree stumps, water, you name it! And brakes? oh ya I got good brakes lol... just love this little mare ... Loved seeing Rue as well, she looks great and has a good partner. Be safe out there .
Super sessions! All that patient ground work is all there now! And she looked so good troting! Congratulations to you both! We live in Northern California & Sunday through Tuesday terrible high temperatures(100°+) all over. Stay safe !
Hey Sam!she is not dragging her hind legs she is using the most powerful part of her body which is her front has I can see, when u get her head low she will power her movement from her hind end,my mare was same but she powers from behind now has I got her in a exercise cart.when they drag up from rear I call it dandy pulling!😂😂
She so reminds me of my girl!!snooze is a name that I’m betting won’t be her personality after awhile, she isn’t using her neck and back yet has her head an neck is to high.X❤️
I definitely think she’d be a great western horse! I really love her! I enjoy watching Snooze’s journey. She’s an awesome little Mustang! I love her personality! I would love to bid on her! She’s my dream Mustang! If only I can convince my parents 😂❤️😍👍😆🤩
Can you talk us through a typical day for you please. What time you get up, what do do during the day, lunchtime, afternoon, evening and what time you go to sleep. Also will you trim her feathers? Or are they kept natural on mustangs? Thank you.
I am so in love! Good thing I live in Florida because I could be fierce competition at the auction 😉 Where are you traveling to Sam? Coming East? You've inspired me to look at Trainer Incentive Program for a future mustang adoption. I want to adopt a draft rescue too - How do I keep horse one from being lonely / alone on ranch until horse two is adopted? I could get a burro, becoming More common in North FL because they will go after coyotes and protect other animals in pasture. 🤔 Thanks!
Would love to see you work - don't have a horse but willing to pay for lessons if that is an option, and you'll be in Ocala. I need to talk logistics for future adoption too.
How do you get your horses on the correct lead? So many horses I’ve ridden are better on one lead and don’t want to do the other. Snooze looks so willing to give you the correct lead, is there some training you did so that she is comfortable doing both leads?
Hi Sam !!! Following your videos some time ago. I have a question: Whts about the mark on the neck of the mustangs? What it means? Excuse me by my english, and regards from Canary Islands -Spain_.
Wish i could get her. I'm not good enough for her though, since I've only been riding for 2 years and have only ridden a horse that was green a few times. I also don't have money or space.
Can I ask why you travel so much with your horses ? Do you use different farm land so the horses can get used to travel and being out of their elements ? I absolutely love your channel so I’m just genuinely wondering.
Sam VanFleet that’s a bummer! I didn’t realize you were in California! Idk what I was thinking. I just thought you picked up snooze and that was it 😆 oh well if you’re ever in town HMU!

There is lots of posting western when starting a horse. It can help getting the horse to go forward and stay in the gait. Are you still in Lander, Sam? If you have time, take trip north to the Dubois area and Brooks Lake.

Fun fun fun! She is pretty cool! Loved the video. You’ve done a great job with her Sam! The best is yet to come!
She and Roo look so cute in western and already Snooze is such a good girl. Whoever gets her will be so lucky
I’ve had two geldings who were inadvertently taught that “good boy” means stop. Drove. Me. Crazy!
Snooze is really coming along!
I bet her new owner is watching this & can’t wait to carry on what you have begun.
Such a nice moving and looking mare. Always love a bay horse... she is getting more flex in her. Such a great job.

I’m training a horse for my little brother do you have any tips
Is that in OPA?
Yes
