  • This bring back so much of childhood memories.
    But here goes the measurement that I used for these delicious Tamarind balls
    INGREDIENTS:
    One 14 - 16 ounce pack of Tamarind Pulp
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 cups white or brown sugar
    1/2 hot pepper chopped, optional
    3-4 cloves of garlic, minced , I used about 8 , but that’s gonna be a little too much , I just like it with lots of garlic
    8 - 10 leaves chadobeni or cilantro, finely chopped

    Wow. This looks so interesting. I really want to try it. You have such a beautiful voice. You sound like my grandmother 😭💞 she was not from Trinidad, but from the Coastal region of South Carolina where they have that beautiful "Gullah" accent. Really beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

      Lademoiselle Ketoret you just might be related. Do a search on the Gullah ppl who the British relocated to Trinidad for helping them fight in the war of 1812. They call themselves Merikans and grow the same hill rice or upland rice as the sea island people. Blessings... we are one

    I use half that amount of sugar and get the same results

    • @SimplyCaribbean
      @SimplyCaribbean  2 года назад +4

      I doubt you got the same results, maybe you had sweet tamarind or your tamarind ballad was sour like hell! This is the best ratio of sugar to tamarind!
