Every profession demands specific attitude and mindset. If there are no required qualities in a human being, we get only a shell of a teacher, just a job for the sake of salary. Not everyone is lucky to get an upbringing that nurtures one's nature. Most people are just trained "to do their job" like bulls or horses. Do this and that and get a carrot. No spirituality, no taste for duty, no joy from the process, values are shifted to somewhere else. Pathetic and sad existence. You do not sound pessimistic to me, only frank, real and interesting. Good news: there are people that are engaged according to their nature, and they are glorious no matter if they simply sweep streets, perform arts, lead communities, teach etc.
