Tbh, I felt that Hanubia was short.. if Nintendo had taken their time with Hanubia, I bet this could be a really great moment! Like, Raven Beak knows Samus's past, so why wouldn't he instill more fear onto her by building or creating his own ridley. One that behaves as though it recognizes Samus. Samus as already endured so much by this point, but now her past has returned yet again. And this time, it was intentional by someone else, Raven Beak. I can only imagine how much of fight against a chozo built/born Ridley (considering Mother Brain being organic, and then the Experimental spider boss thing). Raven Beak could have used the armor on the first Emmi (which you see him ripping its arm off) and used it to protect the dreaded Ridley.. "Project Dread", D-Ridley or Dridley! (This is just me letting my imagination run wild, but I stand by what I said about Hanubia. It feels rushed and needs a redo.) Give me a chozo built Ridley, which Raven Beak modifies with stolen Emmi armor! Dridley needs to happen!
imo thats a great story! i would like to see that. im happy for Dread beeing a rlly good Metroid game without having a Ridley to back it up.But Raven Beak as a charakter should know about Ridley and perhaps even have his remains in a tube. Oh yeah that'd be nice he comes back after he was supposedly killed for real in super metroid and not like as a clone like in other M or a machine built in his image, it's him straight up he's just a cyborg again but even more so than his meta ridley appearance from metroid prime. Maybe it could be like all the left of ridleys original body is just his head and upper torso. The rest is machine. Oh and maybe have this one be the first time in a game je speaks. The graphic novel that came out around the time of metroid zero mission showed ridley speaking. And Samus's motive is just wanting ridley dead finally.
if ridley showed up in a game chronologically after fusion they would have to do mental gymnastics to make it logically work since he shows up with some hamfisted explanation about how he cheated death in nearly every game but since it's kraid who doesn't get reused a lot it was much less convoluted to explain/infer how he shows up
