    I’m in the uk. I have a small 15,000 BTU stove. I use kindling to start my fire, which I make myself from pallet wood. Never heard about this make until Bobs video yesterday. 👍

  • @dropshot1967
    @dropshot1967 Месяц назад +5

    that was the first thing I thought when I saw Bob demo the kindling maker last night. Dan should demo this thing for a few days / weeks. Then he can make his years worth of small firewood production in just a few weeks. Now you just need to geet enough of the different wood species so you can really run this thing
    When you can rotate the greenhouse/wooddrying shed for easy access for the tractor you can put some of these toads in it and if needed, speed up the drying by forced ventilation.

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  Месяц назад

      I'm very grateful to be able to demo this for awhile. Not sure if I could drive a tote in the greenhouse or not. Plus the wood might be too packed into a tote to really benefit or dry quicker compared to spread out like I have it now.

    Wonderful Bob.
    The edge of the blade is intentionally crooked but that may be what is pushing the pieces crooked. Turning the X a quarter turn would make the edge angle the opposite direction and may solve the problem.

    • @jakebredthauer5100
      @jakebredthauer5100 Месяц назад

      A crooked knife pushing on one end of the stick and a slippery surface on the other end of the stick allows the stick to flip or slip. Maybe a rougher surface, like expanded metal, would prevent the end of the wood from sliding.
