Forgotten Gem . My favorite is when Walken goes in to his crazed wide eye moments. You really feel he is possessd during those scenes.

One are my favourite movies, so underrated.
I was babysitting and it was the only movie on TV, I have now watched it 20 times at least.
I walked 7 miles to see it. Had to E&E back home. Bad neighbors.
God what a beautiful man. Staggeringly good looking back then. Impressively cool at any age.

I so agree. I have never seen a man as beautiful as he was in “The Deer Hunter.” I went to it 5 times as a teen just to gaze upon him.

“You mad or what?! “ So Christopher! No pauses, no punctuation, one subject ends another begins immediately without breaking stride. No one else does this. Its a fascinating way to convey dialogue, very real.

I watched this film last night - bought on RUclips Movies - and this scene wasn't in it.... and a number of other things seemed to "jump cut" (Tom Berenger's character, for example, appeared out of nowhere...), anybody know about the different cuts/edits of this film? Wikipedia says it should be 1hr and 45m and that was the length of the film I saw.... but clearly it was an edited version. I HATE it when films are cut.... I can't think of a single film that was improved as an edited version.

Ah you have such good taste. He’s been my cinematic beau for over 40 years & I was just a little girl the first time I ever saw him in “The Anderson Tapes” I think. Although he looked a bit like James Spader back then. Chris acknowledges that he was “a pretty boy” at one time but no longer. He said he is glad he’s not so pretty anymore since it makes him more interesting. I think he’s fascinating, period, no matter what his age or looks. The very definition of cool.
Interesting similarity to "The Mandalorian" I suspect Ludwig Göransson is inspired by this?
I NEED to know the title and/or the artist of the fast-paced song that's playing on the radio during the scene where the mercs are first at sea on the freighter and preparing their weapons for war. It's a female singer and she's singing in English but her accent is so thick that I can only make out a few of the words. I'd LOVE to find out the info on that song & if it's available anywhere!!
