    You may have helped me back to my favorite medium. I have a had a really hard year. My son was sick last year with brain cancer. He died in Feb. and then my brother passed in June. I have a lot of artsy friends encouraging me back to painting. I just didn't want to, but you inspired me. Thanks so much.

    I love this style of painting and would enjoy seeing more. It was beautifully executed and a beautiful painting. My sister and brother in law are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next month and I’d love to paint this for them as a gift. I better do a good job!😅.
    Thank you Kristin!!❤

    The entire tutorial was done very well, and your detailed instructions were so helpful.
    When you completed the painting, I got a good chuckle from the house. The windows give a surprised look to the house. 😮 l LOVE IT🧡🍂🖤🍂🤎🍂🖤🍂🧡🖌

    Thank you so much Kristin that was such a lively and beautiful colour of beauty depicting fall. Luv your colour palette and was good to know about the magenta and green for the brown you made. I watched the other tutorial about adding opposite colours to tone them down for earthier colours which is so practical and beautiful. I could see the transformation of the house when you took away the lines on the blue front which made it really pop nicely. I luv these tutorials you do and I understood about the chicken and chicks as I too am a visual person and so often compare in animals too 😄 the colours were bright fun and exciting and luv your technique. My pollina 2 brush is arriving tomorrow so excited 🙌 have a great day too 🌷

    Awesome...👍👍
    Mam ,please make video on watercolor A to Z tutorial playlist
    Also which is better than beginners who shifting from pencils to brush paint? Watercolor vs poster colour vs brush pens. Which will be better for realistic drawing also?
    How much sketching skills required for painting? Do we need to outline with pencil 1st?
    Because I've seen some artist directly draw or paint outline with brush, not with pencil and they trace their pencil outline. It's necessary to trace pencil outline why directly draw outline on watercolor paper? Should I stick with the pencil drawing 1st? Watercolor painting attracts me because realistic look
    So please make video on my questions 🙏🏻

    Ok, how do you determine where you're going to place what color, and how do you know what paint to mix to make that color? You work fast, so you must have it down in your head!

    The way you described your trees with chickens got me so confused. I had to stop painting this. Could you possibly speak in terms of shapes round, triangle, oval, lines, etc. Maybe my dyslexic mind can process that better 😢

    • @alena.m.zombie
      @alena.m.zombie Месяц назад +3

      Start with a loose blob (base), add smaller blobs around the base blob (leaves)…. Small details aren’t important. You just want the general shape of a tree without fussing with the details. Forget about the chicken…. There is No chicken. Just blobs. Larger blob with smaller blobs in a loose triangular shape.

    • @kristinvanleuven
      @kristinvanleuven  Месяц назад +6

      Haha forget the chicken, there’s no chicken is right! I’m a very visual person and I love analogies so that helps people sometimes. I try to form a large “base” of color that has lots of texture. Could be an oval or a triangle or any shape. Then I have textured leaves coming off the “base” color that gets smaller as it goes away from the base. Sorry that was confusing 😅
