EME - Euro Model Expo 2022 in Lingen

- Wie schön ist es doch mal wieder auf eine Modellbau-Ausstellung fahren zu können! Nach einer mehrjährigen Zwangspause hat am 26. und 27. März 2022 wieder die Euro Model Expo in Lingen stattfinden können, sehr zur Freude aller Modellbau-Verrückten.
Ich war als Aussteller vor Ort und habe es wieder sehr genossen mich mit Gleichgesinnten und Fans auszutauschen, die wunderbaren Modelle zu bewundern und auch ein bisschen einzukaufen. Für alles gab es reichlich Gelegenheit!
Natürlich habe ich dort auch viele grandiose Arbeiten anderer Modellbauer photographiert und daraus dieses Video gezimmert. Es kann aber nur einige Impressionen der Ausstellung vermitteln, es gab dort noch viel mehr zu sehen, als ich in diesem Rahmen euch zeigen kann.
Die Euro Model Expo war jedenfalls wieder ein echtes Fest und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal!

What an awesome feeling to be able to go to a model show again! After a compulsory break of several years the Euro Model Expo took place in Lingen again, between the 26th and 27th of March, for the delight of all crazy scale modellers out there.
I was exhibiting my work there and enjoyed it a lot to talk with like-minded people and fans, to look at the scale models on display and to go shopping. There was a lot of opportunity for all those things!
Of course i photographed many amazing models of other scale modellers there and turned the photos into this video. It can only convey a few impressions of the show, there was a lot to see and showing everything would go beyond the scope of such a video.
The Euro Model Expo was a great place to be and i am looking forward to the next edition!

An awesome show of highly detailed, very well thought out and conceived models and dioramas . It's incredible what people can do with a humble model kit . A certain T-34 STUG III diorama looked amazing Michael 👏

You are welcome! I always liked the Pucara aircraft, maybe i should build a model of it one day? South America does not get a lot of attention with regard to scale modelling, at least when compared to other subjects.

Some lovely models but always had a soft spot for the A6 Intruder and Jagdpanther

Looks like a great show, the models certainly were of a great mix of topics and beautiful all.. :) And I counted FOUR Saab jets, the Tunnan, a Gripen.. part of a Viggen and a whole Viggen!! :) But yes, lots of goodies! I hope you had a great time and managed to find some great purchases as well.. :) As always thanks for sharing and looking forward to see what great things you bought.. :)
Indeed Rob, a very diverse array of models and genres on display. I noticed an emphasis on modern subjects though.
You see i keep up the tradition of starting with something Swedish, as you know :) There were even more Swedish planes on display, but not all of them made it into this video, i am sorry to tell you that!

Minute 0:20 , da ist mal ehrlich ein verrosteter Citroen zu sehen , ein Vorbild für Unfälle und sonstige Verwesungszustände, Grandios gemacht. Wie übel sind doch immer wieder solche Autos dargestellt, die allermeisten sehen immer aus als wären Sie aus Kentgummi , mehr nicht. Hier ein ganz tollles Modell, Bravo !!
Was Automodelle im Schrottplatzstil angeht ist das wohl das Beste, was ich bisher gesehen habe. Wirklich beeindruckend!

Tja, Hallen leer, Verkäufer haben noch nicht mal ihre Standgebühren reinbekommen.....
Das mag stimmen, aber wenn man dort war gab es dennoch viel zu sehen.
Und wegen den Händlern, an mir hat es nicht gelegen, habe gut eingekauft :) Man wird es ohnehin nicht erleben, dass ein Händler am Ende sagt "war alles bestens", da wird immer gejammert. Schon alleine deswegen, damit sich nächstes Jahr nicht die Standgebühr erhöht, wenn der Veranstalter von den guten Umsätzen erfährt.

Ich finde das Hobby Modellbau so genial. Hab 2 jahre bei KM1 gearbeitet.
Ich hab halt das Problem, ich will die fertigen teile nicht als Staubfänger rumstehen haben xD

You are welcome Mike :) It was a far journey there (about 700km one way) but that is still within my reach, even more so since it is really a stunning show. I am sure where you life there are big advantages too, i like quiet places :)

@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling I doubt that my wife and kids would tolerate driving me 700km just to see a model show, no matter how cool it would be haha. They don’t love me that much. I’ll have to live vicariously through RUclips videos of model shows haha

I added a few photos of my own builds as well, just not very many, since the light conditions were not good at our table...but a few can be seen in the video :)

Nice to see your work amongst this amazing collection of fine models. I really love all the imagination and creativity that the builders put into some of their builds. Is this show a top level show? Maybe something similar to Telford or IPMS USA Nationals?
Cheers Russ :) I think it is a top level show around here, it is certainly the biggest scale model show in Germany. There are technically bigger ones, but the mostly deal with RC and model railroad stuff, not so much with our beloved model kits.
Especially the motorcycles looked super real.

You are welcome Michael. It is indeed called "Spähwagen Fennek", an armored scout vehicle currently in use by the German army.

Das müsste Maßstab 1/16 gewesen sein, wenn nicht sogar noch größer, 1/9 vielleicht. In der Größe machen die Fahrzeuge wirklich sehr viel her!

Danke für das Video. Sehr gut gemacht. Eine unglaubliche Qualität war hier zu sehen, hier kann zb die Rieder Messe in Österreich bei Weitem nicht nicht. Dass ich persönlich mit soviel Militär und Panzern nichts anfnagen kann, ist mein Thema, die Qualität ist tw. überragend.
Gern geschehen! Die EME hat wirklich ein sehr hohes Niveau, das sieht man selten so. Mir gefällt die Messe in Ried aber deshalb nicht weniger gut, da gibt es tatsächlich einige Vorzüge, die bei der Euro Model Expo nicht so ausgeprägt sind oder ganz fehlen.

I certainly think so, the kits and the products that accompany the hobby, like tools, paints, references are better these days, the close exchange of ideas through the internet have certainly impacted the hobby and the quality of the models. And when you see such models with your own eyes, they are even better than on the photos :)
