- NEVER deal with rust again, if you are tired of dealing with maintenance on a rusty trailer this video is for you! After years of battling with rust and having my trailers turned ugly and being destroyed, I finally found the only permanent fix I know of. I've tried it all, the oils, sprays, special paints and primers, powder coating, nothing ever worked! Then a few years ago I discovered the N&N galvanized trailers! I take a trip to a great Michigan dealership to pick up my new heavy duty equipment trailer and chat with a few experts Chris from@InTheWoodyard and Tony from @TonysCoolTools as they have owned galvanized trailers for a few years now. Find out why buying a N&N trailer at Thumb Trailer and Auto Sales in Sandusky Michigan may be the investment you can't afford not to make!
Check them out at: www.thumbtrailerandauto.com
Those trailers are amazing so many contractors use them up in my neck of the woods !! Great video guys 👍
Yes they are, thank you.
Heath and Rachel, Congratulations on the new N&N trailer. Those are great trailers. It is always great to visit your channel. Hope all is well up in Michigan. Take care!
Thanks Craig, I love it so far. They are well built for sure.
Congratulations on the new trailer Heath and Rachel . Hope to see you at Bunyan 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Del, we can’t wait! Always a great time!
Nice job sir! As you said this trailer is probably the last dump trailer I'll be buying. Happy Trailering👍TCT
Thanks Tony, they definitely outlast the steel trailers.
Great video!!! Seeing all y'all getting a N&N trailer is Fantastic!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David, the guys at Thumb Trailer are great to work with. Definitely a fun time meeting up with Chris and Tony.

Thanks, so far I love it!
When Chris got his “Baby Dumper” by N and N I was sold. Sized right for what I want in my next trailer. Now if only we had a N and N dealership on the west side of the state… I am in Holland Michigan.
Good stuff is worth a drive to get it.
They are definitely a well built trailer and definitely worth the drive! I have family that just recently moved to Holland, that’s a nice area!
Heath and Rachel, congratulations on getting a new trailer no more fooling around with rust buckets 😮😊❤
Thanks Todd, I’m over fighting rust constantly here in Michigan.
You mentioned changing out you wood plank trailer decks a couple times over the life of the unit. Maybe consider applying Shingle Oil once per year. I treat mine in late summer (when the wood is supper dry) by pouring it in a paint tray and using a heavy nap paint roller on a long handle. Five gallons for $70.00 in California, and it will last you 6-10 years. I first started using it on decks around our houses.
I’ll look into it, thanks. Or maybe some of my old oil.
Shingle oil is designed to soak into the wood. After a couple weeks it pretty much disappears. Use engine oil…? I don’t know about that. Might be a mess you can’t get rid of.
@@dougdinsmore9751 I’ve watched a few videos on it and people seem to like it. I’ll definitely look at the shingle oil though. I’m not too keen on putting the hazards of used motor oil on my equipment.
Great trailers Heath. Fortunately we don't have the salt problems where I live in NC, but you still have to keep on top of normal rust. I may be looking at one of these down the road.
They are definitely well built. The salt up here destroys regular trailers in a hurry.
Please take us on a tour of the factory. We would love to see how they dip galvanize these trailers!
That would be cool but they are in Quebec Canada that’s quite the hike!
Great to see you have found an answer for the Midwest salt. Can't wait to see you using it in action.
So far I’m loving it.
Great video you guys. N&N trailers are definitely becoming very popular.
Thanks Dean, I think the more people find out about them the more popular they’ll become.
I kinda figured you were going galvanized. But I didn’t figure on Chris and Tony being there until you mentioned Wisconsin. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Great video team. Congratulations on the new trailer.
Thanks Noel, I love this trailer so far!
Sweet trailer!👍👍
Thanks Jeremiah!
Would love to get a couple new trailers but for now they get some used motor oil.
Been there, I trying to sell some of my older stuff and consolidate down to less newer stuff. I have too many projects!
Nice looking trailers. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome and thanks!
nice john
Thanks John. You need one to haul all your auction finds.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors hi there had a 30 foot deck over sold it mostly because of because DOT regs , i do have the truck for most finds , john
Good deal. Congrats. Now save your used motor oil and paint /seal your deck boards
I have plenty of that!
Hey Heath do they have lawn care trailers
I asked him and if I remember correctly he said he can get them.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors thank you
Lots of salt here in NY. N&N looks like a great trailer. Great job with the man math 😂
For sure, thanks.
I heard Tony wanted to steal Rachel with the puppy so he had help splitting wood.
Can't falt a guy for trying!!!!!
Yeah I had to keep a close eye on her.
A steel trailer will last longer if you spray it with Fluid Film or similar a couple of times per year and rinse it off after salt exposure. Obviously, keeping it inside is a big help. The cost to spray with FF is about $30 per year. Dont get me wrong , galvanized trailers are longer lasting. I just choose to preserve my current trailer.
@@scottnugent4791 He done this video for a know maintenance hassle
@ryanfoley9999 it would cost me at least 5k to upgrade. I was just offering an alternative. I was in no way critical of his post. I am fully aware of the purpose of the video.
Fluid film, keeping them rinsed, and indoors definitely helps. I need to add a pole barn for sure, but without one it’s tough to keep them rinsed in the winter and obviously stored indoors is out too lol.
Nice trailer Heath, steel isn't what it it used to be. Heck of a lot heavier though
Great video guys.
It definitely isn’t! Thanks Stephen.
HOLY CRAP!!!! most obvious thing ever, and yet I have never seen a galvanized trailer other than boat trailers! In all fairness, here in Hawaii even galvanized trailers will rust and corrode, but.. yeah.. Hawaii and ocean dunking. But for our Alaskan Homestead project, a deck over, goose neck that was galvanized would be PERFECT for what I need/want/am willing to sell a kid for!
lol, not sure you can sell the kids but that’d be a sweet trailer!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors If I buy one you willing to drag it to Washington and I'll drag it to Alaska? Actually reached out to the farthest west dealer I could find in Canada. There is one here in Hawaii, but WRONG STATE!🤦🏻♂️ That and it would break the bank buying it here between shipping and all the taxes and bs mark up here.
Did you buy the gooseneck in Michigan? I think that was mine
I did from a tow company I believe. Still a great trailer just haven’t had the time to replace the rotted steel parts.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors yup that was me haha
Brian's lawn and maintenance
Thanks.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors your welcome
Really nice job on the video...only lame part was the two weirdos from Wisconsin.
Thanks Chris, yeah those guys weren’t too bad.
So if someone from one of the 4 states with no sales tax picks it up in person there's no sales tax?
.
I deal with Washington state, and there turds about taking possession of a item within the state.
You have to pay sales tax,
But have a item shipped to a non sales tax address.
then you don't have to pay the tax.
Not sure on that one.
Come get your nephews broken down car out of your brother's lawn with that thing. Lol.
lol what car? I’ll be over there with it soon bringing a load to the auction.
U-Haul has been using galvanized trailers for years!! I watched your video hoping to find a solution for rust and you buy a New trailer!! The average Joe can't afford a new trailer so disappointed in this video. How much were you paid to promote N&N Trailers?
Sorry Allan, I was paid exactly $0 to promote them. When I find stuff that works I share it. I love my N&N dump trailer and so far love the N&N equipment trailer as well. I am an average Joe, I grew up in a single wide trailer with my dad and have worked hard to get where I am, mother ever handed to me.
