You've got to understand the genesis of Polish joke. It was base od people who emigrated from Poland in the 40-70s. Mostly very poorly educated, or not at all, from poor rural background, unable to write properly in Polish, let alone English. They have nothing to do with Poles who left in the country back then, later immigrant waves, or present-day Polish. By today, I'd guess there is no American Pole left alive whom those jokes are about. Hence, the whole Polish Joke idea, while niche at one point, is now completely irrelevant. The more so, that even back in the 50s-70s education level of an average Polish back in the old country was heads and shoulders above the average American.
I've never heard anyone use the word "Ridiculous" as best as Norm MacDonald. We are all bless to lived in the same time period as you. Looking forward to all those Heaven jokes you'll be working on when we arrive.

@@vishalmishra8176 He probably only asked Conan to set him up by asking him what his ethnicity was but didn't give him any more than that so that Conan's reactions would be genuine and natural. The orginal version of this joke is Lewis Grizzard's: "A man walks into a store and asks for an RC Cola and a MoonPie. The guy behind the counter says, ‘You must be from Alabama.’ The customer replies angrily, ‘Just because I ordered an RC Cola and a MoonPie, how come you think I must be from Alabama?’ He continues, ‘If I ordered spaghetti, would you think I was from Italy? If I ordered sausage, would you say I was from Poland?’ The man behind the counter says, ‘Well, I can’t say. It’s never happened.’ The customer asks, ‘Then how come when I come in here and order an RC Cola and a MoonPie, you just automatically assume I’m from Alabama?’ The man behind the counter calmly replies, ‘’Cause this is a hardware store.’”
As a Polish, I approve. Also, during the communism meat was very scarce and some was actually sold at hardware and other weird stores, of course secretly.
In 1900 there was a book published in NY with all kinds of anty-Irish, anty-Finnish, anty-Blacks, and many other bad jokes. The book's name was Polish Jokes. Everything bad was Polish. Who did that? Those who hated the Polish People, Since the 1200s, Poles accepted in their country all immigrants who came or who were kicked out from other countries... The biggest migration was after 1499 and for 100 years Poland did accept thousands of Jews. Their population, grew 100-fold by 1599. For example, from 3000 they became a big minority of over 300,000. They became very entitled, and influential and demanded autonomy in Poland, and they had their own different laws, traditions, and customs.

Oskaregg, Yes all immigrants at one time had problems with foreign languages, so what? The PEAK of "Polish jokes" in America was in the 1960s/70's....when most Polish Americans spoke fluent English and on average made more money than most Americans. So HOW does that make them "dumb"....as NBC-TV says???? SO WHY was the 1960's/70's the PEAK TIME of "Polish jokes" in America? It was because NBC-TV was bashing the hell out of Poles on NATIONAL TV to MILLIONS of Americans! WHY did Anti-Christian Leftist NBC-TV do this? Because NBC-TV HATES Poland for being the MOST CHRISTIAN nation and most Red Pilled nation in the world and being against the Leftist propaganda NBC-TV spews. NBC-TV HATES Poland because Poland is PROUD of being a WHITE CHRISTIAN nation like in these RUclips videos "Polish people say, WE WANT GOD/Jesus! - Polish march for Independence Nov 11, 2017" and "The MOST Red Pilled nation is Poland - Despite Leftist objections, Polish TV network tells the truth". Today, perverted Leftist NBC-TV is doing the same thing with President Trump. NBC-TV keeps BASHING Trump as being "dumb" because Trump can see through the Leftist media's Lies and Trump is the most Red Pilled president we have. As for me, I was born in America. I am a Polish American.

Now when he is not with us anymore, I realize how much he influenced me and my sense of humor. The other guy reaches in to the engine compartment and points to a soup-can sized metal cylinder. "That's it, right there." The Polish guy beams a big smile and says, "Mister, you're in luck. I just happen to have one of those in my trunk."

I competed once with 20 of the nerdiest kids in our school for the chance to compete on academic challenge which was a quiz show for high school students on channel 5 in Cleveland. The three of us who won spots all had significant Polish ancestry. Olchovy, Schzipinski and (in my case) my grandmother was a Mocarski. We won of course but……
Thankfully none of the questions involved changing a light bulb.
2/3 of those last names are either straight up not Polish or anglicized

You've been hit by, you've been struck by,
A smooth criminal
It's thanks to the german fuc*s that migrated to the US ;)
Norm, as a half Scotish, half Irish, half Canadian, half Polish Man deserves at least 2 beautiful statues. (hope my math is correct. I am Polish)

Hmmm... In South Florida almost all Home Depot and Lowes stores have hot dog/polish sausage carts at the entrance.
In South Africa, every hardware store also has a boerewors cart too. That's Afrikaaner/ Dutch sausage.

You’re already there watching this vid
The way he sneakily sets up the joke by saying he is Polish before even starting the joke leaves no question that he actually was pegged correctly as such by the hardware store guy. Took me a few times watching it to fully appreciate that. It makes a huge difference.
@@vishalmishra8176 it might be scripted but hes just pointing to the crowd
@@vishalmishra8176 He probably only asked Conan to set him up by asking him what his ethnicity was but didn't give him any more than that so that Conan's reactions would be genuine and natural. The orginal version of this joke is Lewis Grizzard's:
"A man walks into a store and asks for an RC Cola and a MoonPie.

Most ironic Polish joke... Poland is the best governed country in Europe. Oh wait that's true.

As a Polish, I approve.
Also, during the communism meat was very scarce and some was actually sold at hardware and other weird stores, of course secretly.
In 1900 there was a book published in NY with all kinds of anty-Irish, anty-Finnish, anty-Blacks,
and many other bad jokes. The book's name was Polish Jokes.
Everything bad was Polish. Who did that? Those who hated the Polish People,
Since the 1200s, Poles accepted in their country all immigrants who came
or who were kicked out from other countries...
The biggest migration was after 1499 and for 100 years Poland did accept thousands of Jews.
Their population, grew 100-fold by 1599.
For example, from 3000 they became a big minority of over 300,000.
They became very entitled, and influential and demanded autonomy in Poland,
and they had their own different laws, traditions, and customs.

Greetings from Poland. I always loved his sense of humor, punchline was never obvious, deadpan delivery, self concious. Now when he is not with us anymore, I realize how much he influenced me and my sense of humor. His interviews with other hero of mine, Conan, were classic, even his short lived sitcom was great, because of him. Nobody knew that he was sick, for so long..., that's heartbreaking, but it sounds like 100% Norm. True genius and a hero of mine. Rest in peace.

A Polish guy driving a VW Bug spots a guy stalled on the side of the road and decides to stop and help. "What seems to be the problem?" he asks. The fellow pops open the hood of his car and says, "I'm pretty sure it's just a clogged fuel filter." The Polish guy says, "Fuel Filter? What's that?" The other guy reaches in to the engine compartment and points to a soup-can sized metal cylinder. "That's it, right there." The Polish guy beams a big smile and says, "Mister, you're in luck. I just happen to have one of those in my trunk."
