I had always assumed Alan White was the drummer on the Beatles‘ earliest single Love Me Do, but when you said that he was 20 during the Imagine session, I very intelligently surmised that he couldn‘t have been 11 at the Love Me Do session (however spectacular that would‘ve been!) - so thank you for indirectly pointing out to me that Alan White and Andy White are not the same person! 😅

Haha, yeah. it does get confusing with all the drummers named ‘White’. There the Oasis Alan White too and his brother Steve White who’s also a drummer.

It was Andy White on the 'tambourine' version of 'Love Me Do' (Ringo plays the tambourine on that version). Ringo drums on the version without tambourine.

More of these Documentary's.. Just terrific. Some of the best on YT. Keep it coming! Only note was the studio wasn't in the annex! It was next to kitchen top left of the mansion look down. 😘

Excellent vid. Do Plastic Ono Band next if you haven't. That record is so stripped down and clean.

    That was excellent.
    Many thanks. I have subscribed.
I saw a video interview with Jack Douglas in which he said he thought he remembered Jesse Ed Davis overdubbing George's slide parts (in NYC, after the 'Imagine' tapes had been sent there), but there is no way that happened, for various reasons (George's slide playing is so distinctive, and Jesse's so different from George's, that you can hear it is George on the album; and also, you can hear and see that George is playing slide when you compare the video from the Tittenhurst Park sessions with the finished audio from the 'Imagine' album).
