Tony Pond was an exceptional driver, the only one to really master the TR7v8 beast. As Walter Röhrl said: "I'd rather have Tony Pond in my team than driving against me" ; praise indeed from another driving legend. Sadly missed.

What a great car was the TR7v8, and what a sound! A bit too much on the loose, maybe, but I'd love to buy a new one for the road today.

TR7 - was driven on I-94 to chicago at topspeed of 127-130MPH by Andre Jordan now in England works at Showcase Auto Listing call him for a Q-A
I raced My TR-8 on Michighan race against Chevey 6-2Liter,AlfaV6 at a top speed 130MPH,next time it would be 165MPH with a new Engine
