- Start of 2024, and I’m going to take on a build I’ve never tried before. Picked up this 06’ Heritage and building it Vicla style. I have a vision of where I want to end up with on this build, now it’s time to bring it to reality. Join me on this journey and let’s see what I come up with.
In this episode I’m doing a basic tear down and adding @samson_exhaust and @steadycustomcycles pipes to achieve that loud Vicla sound, the kind that lets everyone know you’re coming.
Cut me some slack on the camera work, still working on all the settings to get it right lol. Can only improve from here.

@@gregadams8354 huge upgrade over stock brackets in my opinion.
I also have the Samson fishtail, I see you added spacer to the exhaust bracket the holds the muffler, did you use spacers at the front where you removed the plugs?? Mine didn't have an spacers., I have a 2104 heritage
Yes I did, I had to use the spacers with these new chrome brackets. Samson did sent me a new pair of brackets with the headers. I didn’t want to use them. They were normal black brackets like the one I took off.
Any idea if those chrome brackets work with Samson mufflers ? I’m having exhaust leaks and the pipes becoming loose after a few rides they also seem to wiggle around easily with the Samson black mounting bracket that came with my true duals
They should work, but you're better off calling Steady Custom Cycles to be 100% sure. I bought the brackets and mounting kit which came with spacers/bolts/nuts. These will be much sturdier than the stock brackets. Apply blue locktite to the bolts so they don't come loose, being these are alot heavier. Regarding your leaks, I used Ultra Copper at all the pipe connections to create a seal to prevent leaks if that's where you're leaking at.
Any idea what the difference is between the Samson and SCC chrome brackets ?
Samson brackets are 3/16" stock black brackets, identical to the one I removed. These SCC are 1/2" thick heavy duty triple chrome brackets. If you don't mind the stock look, the Samsons will work perfectly fine.
If i put the 33 duel samson cholos with out the baffles on the 04 heritage softtail. Am i going to need a tuner?
You might need to get it tuned so it’s running the best possible. Mine is carbureted and is re-jetted .
I got the right mechanic in mine to check the motor after i install everything.and thxs again .

They’re 37”
