100% , I grew up in Canada on an island with strong Irish ties which is Newfoundland ..and this song played often in my home as did many others and it sure brings back Some memories for me , both happy and sad.

My family orginated in Ireland (Grandfather was called Mark Dempsey born 1879) I play and sing this with a few pals around busker nights in North East England and its always well received.
