This is the best version of 'Rare Oul' Times' ever! So many others have sung this wonderful song too weak or too loud. This is a song that must be sung with strength and feeling for Dublin, and the Whistlin' Donkeys got it right, right here, thank God.
Completey agree most of it songs of true stories I grew up watch the troubles as a kid and as an adult I've read many a book of the history of Ireland stemming back to Henry 8th so there is a lot to answer for but from history we've got some incredible songs the donkeys hit the ball out the park singing Grace which was written in 70s I think but true a beautiful song thats almost a national anthem but the donkeys do it great credit
Hi lad's really great performance, the singer has a brilliant voice never think he has a north accent he sounds Dublin. and the music is class , Nice bar see gaa picture in the background ,, From Dublin cheer's lads
Magnificent . These lads understand the emotions behind the words and their musical abilities deliver an exceptional experience. Would love to hear you live.
We were so blessed to have seen them in concert for their only canadian date last October in Carbonear, Newfoundland! Great show, amazing talent, fabulous performance and beautiful people! Love them all, until next time we will have you on here😊💕💕
Went to Ireland this year and sat in many a pub listening to beautiful Irish music that was so moving. Just came across the Whistlin' Donkeys and it takes me back. Amazing vocals and music that you feel. Their version of Grace, Sweet 16 and Isle of Tears jsut to name a few is hands down the best version I've ever heard. This music always brings me peace on a stressful day. Seeing Whistlin' Donkeys in concert is on my bucketlist. Fingers crossed it happens!
I feel shivers down my spine when listening to your music.... Great stuff... really... I enjoyed it at Dingle, live - both, your great culture and your beer plus single malt. So, I know what I talk about. Keep it all up. Congrats and greetings. -SLAINTE-
Keep your kids off the phone, and streets ,give them an the music,it works, believe me I was rock bottom,il learned the guitar meself, and was a half blood singer , turnedy life around 💕
Newfoundland loves ye guys..wish you all would come see us newfs in fort mac alberta..as Fergal sings reminds me of Dermot O'Reilly one of many of irelands sons that made newfoundland home..Fergals voice reminds me of Dermot..keep at it lads, your honouring a legacy and a time that may soon be gone if not..love it
Indeed it still keeps on changing, we fought for over 800 years for independence, now we are surrendering to the EU.....FFS....it look likes Morocco, Nigeria today....! FFs Lads....?

That's a bit much when you've got Ronnie Drew and Luke Kelly versions but this is the best I've heard by a younger singer in a very long time

Thank you for breathing new life into these wonderful classics it's comforting to know the traditions are being kept alive and safe in your hands.
