    - BATTLE SQUARE -
Head up the stairs to reach the lobby, then equip Cloud with the Ragnarok weapon and the Ribbon accessory. Also use all the Source items on Cloud for some permanent boosts and also use a Tranquilizer. Now talk to the NPC behind the northern counter and choose “Let’s do it” for a fee of GP x 10, then choose Cloud.
The battle arena will consist of a series of 8 random battles, after which you can choose to continue or to stop. You will gain battle points for each successful battle and can set a handicap between each battle. The handicaps will remain for the remaining battles and the harsher the handicap, the more you will usually get but the handicap reward is only given once and that is on selection. The later the battle, the more battle points you will usually get from selecting an handicap, with the most coming in rounds #7 and #8 by a huge margin. For the first 5 handicaps, try to pick any that benefit you the most, then for the final 2 handicaps, choose those that reward the most points. Below is a list of the handicaps and how much they will give you if selected during the final 2 rounds.
    All Materia is broken - 1866, 10000.
Magic Materia is broken (green) - 1755, 9425.
    Weapon is broken - 1602, 8246.
    Item command is sealed - 1368, 7201.
Support Materia is broken (blue) - 1159, 6808.
Independent Materia is broken (pink) - 1196, 6645.
Summon Materia is broken (red) - 1127, 6527.
    Accessory is broken - 953, 5083.
Command Materia is broken (yellow) - 633, 4983.
    ½ HP & ½ MP - 775, 3134.
    Toad - 520, 3069.
    Minimum - 453, 2940.
    Armour is broken - 654, 2903.
    ½ HP - 591, 2119.
    Zero MP - 502, 1855.
    ½ MP - 485, 1669.
    Time played x 30 damage (hours) - 379, 1401.
    Down 10 levels - 308, 968.
    Down 5 levels - 166, 627.
    Poison - 82, 257.
    ½ Speed - 77, 202.
    Yesss! No handicap! - 7, 7.
    HP restored - 1, 1.
As you can see, the final handicap selection gives a massive amount of points compared to the rest so it's best to avoid picking those handicaps until last. The rewards for the earlier rounds are so small that they are not even worth considering. Never pick the Weapon or Accessory is broken handicaps or the Item command is sealed as they will severely mess up your build, the rest are manageable though. The reason you need to keep the item command is because if you get the Ghost Ship enemy, you need to quickly use an Elixir or Smoke Bomb on it before it ejects you from the fight. It can also be a good idea to avoid the ½ HP handicaps as well to improve your survivability.
You can make it easier to select the required handicap by holding the ‘switch’ command while the reels are spinning. The sound will keep playing, but the reel will have stopped in the rear tab and releasing the button will resume the reel spinning. Then you just press the ‘Ok’ command to stop the reel when it is on the handicap before the one you want. Provided you pick some handicaps that give good points for the last few rounds, you should average about 10000+ points per match along with a Tissue x 1.
Once you have over 34500+ x BP, interact with the southeast battle point kiosk and choose “Yeah” to exchange your points. Do NOT exit the room as you will lose all your current BP! Now buy the following from the BP kiosk.
    Enemy Lure x 2 - BP x 500.
    Pre-Emptive x 2 - BP x 2000.
    Omnislash (Limit 1) - BP x 32000.
Spend any remaining BP, then exit the Battle Square and head all the way back to the Ropeway Station. Enter the tram and go east through North Corel back onto the world map.
    - TIFA'S HOUSE -
Head upstairs and go to the piano in the west bedroom. Now interact with the piano and choose ‘Aw, go for it’ followed by ‘I forgot’, then play the Overworld theme by pressing the notes in the same order as shown below.
    Do.
    Re.
    Mi.
    Ti.
    La.
    Do.
    Re.
    Mi.
    So.
    Fa.
    Do.
    Re.
    Do.
    End
If done correctly, your party will appear and a brief scene will begin, after which, you will gain the Final Heaven x 1 limit break item for Tifa. Now exit the town back to the world map.

Yesterday I couldn’t just wait so I went on with the text guide you provided and I got the platinum. The text guide is very well written and straight to the point. It’s a bit tricky to understand the reels exploit or the w-item without some visual aids, but other than that I went through without any major hiccups. Well done mate! Keep up the good work!

Hey man, neither your text guide nor the video mention that for the piano minigame there are 2 different ways to play "Do" and they're actually different tones. On playstation one is played with cross and one is played with R1/L1 + circle. since Do appears 4 times in the melody, there's potentially 16 ways to play this... so actually naming the buttons instead of the notes would have been helpful or at least a note saying you don't ever need to do the R1/L1 + circle one.
cause it didn't work for me at first (cause I was way too slow) and I didn't know why and started doing all possible combinations with R1/L1 + circle. In the end I just had to turn x3 speed off^^

I didn't even notice there was another Do so thanks for pointing that out, well I probably though they were the same. I will fix it in the text guide at least, needs to be the top Do
