Excellent! Setting up my new laptop and with your help here this should be my first SUCCESSFUL transition! Glad I dont have to lose all my projects yet again.
fuck your a life saver man i've been wanting to learn this for awhile now, i just bought a new desktop for my music and needed to figure out how to move all my projects/beats to my new one, now i just need to learn how to send these sounds over :')
Did you find a way? I have a new PC now and I wanna transfer my old beats but I always recorded guitar or had the habit of consolidating Melodie’s and using it as a sample and none of that is there when I transfer the FLP, any luck?
That is unusual, it should always transfer as live recording works the same way by adding the clip to your sequencer. I do however recommend using Edison to record though, this tutorial will explain why. ruclips.net/video/nHCousGl2xA/видео.html
Is there a way to do this in bulk? I reinstalled windows and replaced my old ssd with a new one, i backed up my projects, kits and presets, but forgot the backup the samples in the projects... but thankfully i still have the old drive, but kinda confused on how i backup and transfer all projects correctly, i know u can export a single project file with all the containing samples, plugins and so on, but seems kinda crazy to repeat that process on all 200 of my projects...
Yes you absolutely can, so first of all you need to make sure your samples folders are all reconnected in the file pathways (you do this in settings>file). Secondly once you have reinstalled FL studio, you need to merge all your old folders with the new ones, this takes a little more digging as FL12 and up use different locations to store your data. You will find a lot of what you need in user>documents>Image-line. That folder will be all your sliced audio from Edison (anything you send to the playlist from Edison), all your project back ups and your presets that you have made in any VSTs. For ease just copy the whole "image-line" folder from your old documents HDD to your new one. It MUST be in the same place. Lastly it is a good idea to merge your "data" and "plugins" folders from your old FL to your new one, those will be found in C:/ (or whatever your old drive name was)program files> Image-line. Also remember you will have to reinstall all your 3rd party plugins before you do all this. If you have any issues I can make a quick tutorial on how to do this, I admit FL don't make it super easy haha.
@@shortandsweettutorials8767 If u have the time and will to make a video on it I'm sure a lot of people would be really thankful for it, since I cant find any guide what so ever on how to do this in bulk. Thank u for the detailed reply
@@shortandsweettutorials8767 So if i just save the "Data" folder inside the "Image-line" directory, i should be good? It includes all my drum-kits, samples, plugins and presets.
I've done everything the guy has said....now how do I open it on my laptop in FL Studio....is there a certain way to load it or to drag and drop files.....he sort of left that bit out..!!!
Currently trying to do this, but transferring from a Mac to Windows, so would I just put the bones and data files in a new folder, then drop box it to myself, then re-download on to my windows?
Email attachments are usually limited to about 25MB, so if you have audio files no sadly it won't as it will be too large. You will have to use a filesharing system like drop box to send these over the internet. If you pack it into a .rar file using winrar or a similar program you may get away with sending it through Facebook, but don't hold me to that as I'm unsure.
Yes straight to the point ,manage to transfer my project and not wasteing half a day doing it, appreciated thank you
This video stood the test of time, I appreciate it man💯

WOOORKING!!!! OMG!!!
Ok, but what if I actually live record my own samples? I did this and it only transferred the programmed samples, none of my recorded tracks.

you need to open your FLP project
If I wanted to send it to someone do I needa compress it to a zip folder before sending?
That would be the best solution yes. I use Winrar for my compression.
It doesn't even allow me that "project bones" icon
That should only be the case if you are using the demo version

yeah exactly! I'm using this one
Is there another way to save it on demo version?
