We all collect things-I’m a book collector. I haven’t read all the books on my shelves, but I have a hard time getting rid of any because the cover is so pretty, or the plot is so intriguing, and I might read it one day. Every so often, I do go through them and maybe donate one or two, but my collection brings me joy, even if other people might think I have too many books. So, all that to say this: if the makeup brings you joy, collect the makeup. It’s your money, your space, your life. No apologies required. You do you ❤️

I love that you collect books......my sis collects books and I collect eyeshadow palettes. It's something that brings us joy like you said! I never understand the people who comment judgemental things about other people's collections.....it always frustrates me.

People need to focus on their own joy instead of judging others'. I feel bad when RUclipsrs feel like they need to justify the size of their collection.
But books don't go bad after a few years 😖 BTW I don't wanna be a hater, I have too many eyeshadow palettes too- around 7 atm, I would have around 20 I think if I didn't sell some/pass onto friends and family members from time to time). I defo have a problem with buying too many.

I don't care because it makes me very happy and some get used/read, some are just to pretty to part with and some I hope to have time to enjoy. But I work hard and care for my family and it's a better habit (than what most people have), at least that's how my husband makes me feel better about it! Consider ourselves Blessed to have something that brings us joy and doesn't hurt anyone in the process! Great Video!
I am so happy to have teenage nieces, so every time I get overwhelmed with the makeup, I just send them part of my collection. I get a feeling that I still own them, since they remain in the family, and it gives me a time to adapt and stop missing the stuff.
I got into makeup about 3 years ago and quickly started "collecting". I would watch beauty influencers and be like OMG I need to try that! Now in the last year I've started thinning my collection and only buying brands I love. My highest count was like 112 palettes...I can't imagine over 300. I would be overwhelmed the house!
Even if you didn’t declutter a lot, you went through your collection and reminded yourself of palettes you love and want to use more often. Plus, you reorganized your drawers! I would guess about 290 palettes? Hope you tell us in another video! Tfs!
But makeup is not only a palette it holds sentimental value and memories? So I don't blame her for keeping so many. Each palette may be important to her. If she wants to hold onto so many palettes then so be it?

Hey Paige no hate but wouldn’t it be better next time if you sort out all your shadow palettes that have all similar shades to each other. Take time to look at them all.Don’t care about brand yet but think what you would grab more and being realistic what you would wear. Like nude shadows, open all up next to each other. Hope you get what I mean by there. Plus I think it will be more quicker.
I love her long videos. Also, if someone loves a specific brand, they may not want to get rid of anything from them. And also, it would take her SOOOO much longer to prep it all. These videos already take up a lot of her day, so she may not realistically have the time to do that. 💚💙
Agreed! She kept so many pallets that seriously have the same shades in them. Sort them by color stories, pick which ones have the best payoff/formulas & declutter the rest.
Yesss, great idea. With a collection as big as this it's sometimes hard to grasp how many repeats there are until you really categorize it all. Especially if you are bad at decluttering and feel like you like everything when just grabbing things randomly. If I was her I'd declutter so much, all MUR stuff would be gone.
No hate, but just call it a collection video. Once the money has been spent it’s entirely up to you what you want to do with them. Declutter, gift, resale. You do what feels right.
If I were her I would literally take at least a 3rd of those and put them all in a bundle and do a bidding on eBay and see how high they go it would be a pretty interesting
I know this would be a lot of work, but I would love to see an eyeshadow collection where you swatch a couple of your favorite shades from each palette! I love actually seeing swatches on the hands vs just seeing it in the pan
I have 1 drawer of eyeshadow palettes and thats more than enough! I don't even think I can use them all up. This is a massive collection. I wouldn't even know what to do🥴 I am sure you get many of them free or make your money back at least though.
People get on me too for having so much makeup, I then ask them how many shoes, purses, lotion, and perfume they have. We all have something we absolutely love and collect and shouldn’t recieved hate for something that brings us joy 🥰

I agree, however the other things you mentioned do not expire like makeup does. Powders are usually ok to use even years after their expiration date but the quality and performance drops a lot. Even that aside, It's simply impossible for any human to use such a huge amount of makeup. This comes from someone who had at some point 120+ palettes, 160+ palettes in total have gone through my collection.. Now I am at 53, hoping to eventually get down to 30. Giving makeup to others who don't have as much and will use them instead of buying new or letting it go bad and then throwing it to the trash.

I was wondering maybe you could choose one brand a day and do various looks by brand. You have so many brands I am unfamiliar with but like you said the pallets look stunning and I would LOVE to see brand videos. I have never used Morphe for example and you have 10 pallets that you could do several looks! Love your collection. I don’t have a utube channel and half the time I don’t wear makeup but I have at least 100 pallets, crazy I know. I’m a sucker for color and packaging

Of course you don’t owe us any apology but to be honest there is no way anyone can use that many palet, so I feel like it is better for someone to enjoy those products rather than those pallets expire in the drawer. So that is my mentality of course

One of my favourite things about Paige is that she truly has her own opinion on makeup and doesn’t just go with what everyone else says. She is fair, and honest and you can tell she genuinely LOVES makeup. Also she is always out of the drama, doesn’t even comment on it usually. Even here she said “I think James and morphe ended their partnership” you’ll never convince me she doesn’t know what happened but kept her opinion to herself because not everything needs to be said ........
I’ve had the zodiac bh cosmetics palette for several years now. When I think about decluttering it I swatch the shimmer shades and end up keeping it. It still never gets used though. 😂 I want to try some of the lunar beauty eyeshadow palettes and the kaleidoscope palettes. 💖
As I watched this video I must have said to myself a million times she already has that pallet in another pallet....lol. a lot of them are almost the same exact color story. It's okay you aren't the only one, watching this made me want to go home and go through mine that look the same. Maybe next time when you are actually wanting to get rid of you should leave them open on your floor and decide what ones you want and what ones you don't
Just wanted to share this. Since this pandemic I did not buy any large eyeshadow palettes. I am only into mini eyeshadow palettes and by mini I mean something like the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes, Too Faced Doll Sized Palettes, Charlotte Tilbury Quads and mini palettes, Pat McGrath Quads. I decluttered everything. Gave away many, threw away the expired ones and kept only a select few. I realized I used to buy out of impulse so much maybe due to packaging, color layout (although I used to already have the same colors in different palettes) or maybe I got sucked into how it was marketed. I was shocked how much money I wasted and how detrimental the waste was for the environment as with so many large palettes I am never gonna hit pan in any one. Especially when all the makeup sat and collected dust in the quarantine period. Now big palettes are a complete turn off and a huge no for me. I only buy small palettes as it is easy to hit pan, less wastage of money and resources and also maybe goes a bit more towards contributing towards the environment. With small palettes it is also easy to determine what colors I already own.
Look, I don't mean to hate. It's your collection, you are able to keep what you want. I know that make up is subjective, I know! But I just think you keep so much that looks similar. And stuff that just looks boring honestly. For instance that Profusion mirage palette, looks exactly like the JH morphe volume 2. And a lot of the morphe palettes, especially the 35 ones look soooo similar. I'm just saying, I think you should do a comparison video. Chose a colour story and go through all the palettes and see how similar or different they are.

Sad you have so many beautiful that you love but you can’t use them all or even the ones you love most because you just simply have too many! My guess is 171 pallets…. Also could that one colorpop eyeshadow in the z pallet be the one that was missing in a pallet earlier on? We had a house fire and I lost ALL my makeup. I would die for your trash pile. LOVE YOOOOUUU!!!
I ended up delculttering the Day to Slay palette bc I felt that the looks came out similar every time. The palette has many shades, but most of them are shimmers and the mattes are very one toned. The formula itself is quite nice, and I would imagine someone enjoying the palette who is new to makeup and wants something soft and easy to blend.
why do you throw them away if just one shade is broken... i dont have very much makeup but i also use all mine for body art and normal makeup so i go through pallets very quickly... but why throw the whole thing out... just curious

I used to have what I thought was a lot of palettes, I think I had about 40-50. Now I only have 8 and I miss all of the ones I used to have that I either gave away or decluttered. And sadly a lot of makeup is a luxury I can't afford, even drugstore so I won't be getting any new ones for a while. What I'm trying to say is never apologize for not getting rid of some. You know what makes you happy and if you collect makeup it's not a terrible thing. There are bigger problems in the world and no one should have to anticipate hate for not getting rid of enough.

I would say you around 425 palettes. I love your declutter, collection and organization videos! How is the quality of the Huda Beauty Neons? I always wanted them but I don’t think she makes them anymore. I didn’t like the formula of the pastels, they look so pretty but some of the shades suck. You should try Give Me Glow, their an indie brand but their foiled shadows are amazing.
I doubt Kim K or Kylie's professional makeup artists have this many eyeshadow palettes. Could open up a store from all of your make up, it's a small fortune😶 maybe sell what you don't need and donate the money. Or gift the palettes to less fancy beauty schools and their less fortunate students.
I'm glad you kept the Spanglish palette! I get more compliments on my looks with Spanglish than I get from any of the other 200+ palettes (I'm just a hoarder/enthusiast, not an MUA or RUclipsr). Any time I need a self-esteem boost, that's the palette I use. At first glance, it seems like we could only get a few looks, but I've done all sorts of combos because the shades work nicely with each other.

If I had not used one in the past like 2 years (usually I do one but since Covid has everything shut down, I did two years) I got rid of them, no matter how pretty I thought it was. That was the only way I was going to be able to get rid of any! 😂😂
This is more like a collection video rather than a declutter. Not a fan of this video at all. Rather than telling how great the palettes are just go straight to the point of what palettes you think you will use and palettes that you are not going to use. Literally the palettes that you haven’t touched are palettes you should just declutter. It’s just a waste to keep. There are actually people that will make better use of the the palettes since there is so much. Just think when you buy the palette “Are you going to use this often?” Or “Do I already have shades that I don’t need or palettes that are super similar to it?” It’s just common sense of do you need it or not. :(

I am only into mini eyeshadow palettes and by mini I mean something like the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes, Too Faced Doll Sized Palettes, Charlotte Tilbury Quads and mini palettes, Pat McGrath Quads. I decluttered everything. Gave away many, threw away the expired ones and kept only a select few. I realized I used to buy out of impulse so much maybe due to packaging, color layout (although I used to already have the same colors in different palettes) or maybe I got sucked into how it was marketed. I was shocked how much money I wasted and how detrimental the waste was for the environment as with so many large palettes I am never gonna hit pan in any one. Especially when all the makeup sat and collected dust in the quarantine period. Now big palettes are a complete turn off and a huge no for me. I only buy small palettes as it is easy to hit pan, less wastage of money and resources and also maybe goes a bit more towards contributing towards the environment. With small palettes it is also easy to determine what colors I already own.
Look, I don't mean to hate. It's your collection, you are able to keep what you want. I know that make up is subjective, I know! But I just think you keep so much that looks similar. And stuff that just looks boring honestly. For instance that Profusion mirage palette, looks exactly like the JH morphe volume 2. And a lot of the morphe palettes, especially the 35 ones look soooo similar. I'm just saying, I think you should do a comparison video. Chose a colour story and go through all the palettes and see how similar or different they are.

hi , how can you use any of your eyeshadows ? when your drawers are overflowing or do you ever use any makeup ? it looks to me that you don’t ! it looks scary and i would be depressed with a mega weight on my shoulders having all those just sat there ! why just leaving them to go off when many woman have nothing and you horde all these and never touch them ! i just don’t know what to say its too enormous to comment on ! why do you keep them ? why not declutter the lot and start again ! if your so addicted to them . i am so shocked with the amount you have for one face ! none have been touched Why ? ? oh yes i know why because you have far to many to even use or even look at ! what do you expect us to say its obscene !

Her keeping the collab of Morphe ft Kathlyn Lights and others ones doesnt make sense to me to keep, when she tossed the other collabs..
She said cause she basically collects morphe palettes. Also she is affiliated so having them to reference in videos helps with her promoting her code.
@@jmevasa she kept influncer collabs pallets and also said " we love supporting creators" yet she tossed creators collabs/pallets away. She doesnt make sense. She should be honest and said she doesnt want them anymore and not said " we love supporting eachother" cause tossing them away isnt supporting eachother at all.
I didn’t see many collab palettes she tossed??? The one Kathlyn Lights in the beginning, but I didn’t she her toss any other?

Sad you have so many beautiful that you love but you can’t use them all or even the ones you love most because you just simply have too many! You probably have more than 400 palettes and if you used a different one every day you still wouldn’t use them all in a year! You’re a collector and a true makeup lover and so am I. You’re certainly in the right job!

My guess is 171 pallets…. Also could that one colorpop eyeshadow in the z pallet be the one that was missing in a pallet earlier on? We had a house fire and I lost ALL my makeup. I would die for your trash pile. LOVE YOOOOUUU!!!

I ended up delculttering the Day to Slay palette bc I felt that the looks came out similar every time. The palette has many shades, but most of them are shimmers and the mattes are very one toned. The formula itself is quite nice, and I would imagine someone enjoying the palette who is new to makeup and wants something soft and easy to blend.
What are you going to do with the clear drawers you got at the beggining of the deccluter???

why do you throw them away if just one shade is broken... i dont have very much makeup but i also use all mine for body art and normal makeup so i go through pallets very quickly... but why throw the whole thing out... just curious

I used to have what I thought was a lot of palettes, I think I had about 40-50. Now I only have 8 and I miss all of the ones I used to have that I either gave away or decluttered. And sadly a lot of makeup is a luxury I can't afford, even drugstore so I won't be getting any new ones for a while. What I'm trying to say is never apologize for not getting rid of some. You know what makes you happy and if you collect makeup it's not a terrible thing. There are bigger problems in the world and no one should have to anticipate hate for not getting rid of enough.
You should do a dedicated week to one brand and do a palett/day

I would say you around 425 palettes. I love your declutter, collection and organization videos! How is the quality of the Huda Beauty Neons? I always wanted them but I don’t think she makes them anymore. I didn’t like the formula of the pastels, they look so pretty but some of the shades suck. You should try Give Me Glow, their an indie brand but their foiled shadows are amazing.

I doubt Kim K or Kylie's professional makeup artists have this many eyeshadow palettes. Could open up a store from all of your make up, it's a small fortune😶 maybe sell what you don't need and donate the money. Or gift the palettes to less fancy beauty schools and their less fortunate students.
I'm glad you kept the Spanglish palette! I get more compliments on my looks with Spanglish than I get from any of the other 200+ palettes (I'm just a hoarder/enthusiast, not an MUA or RUclipsr). Any time I need a self-esteem boost, that's the palette I use. At first glance, it seems like we could only get a few looks, but I've done all sorts of combos because the shades work nicely with each other.

I love your collection!!! I have no where near the amount you have BUT- when I looked through mine- I ended up really thinking about the ones I used. If I had not used one in the past like 2 years (usually I do one but since Covid has everything shut down, I did two years) I got rid of them, no matter how pretty I thought it was. That was the only way I was going to be able to get rid of any! 😂😂

This is more like a collection video rather than a declutter. Not a fan of this video at all. Rather than telling how great the palettes are just go straight to the point of what palettes you think you will use and palettes that you are not going to use. Literally the palettes that you haven’t touched are palettes you should just declutter. It’s just a waste to keep. There are actually people that will make better use of the the palettes since there is so much. Just think when you buy the palette “Are you going to use this often?” Or “Do I already have shades that I don’t need or palettes that are super similar to it?” It’s just common sense of do you need it or not. :(
