I can’t let go of my eyeshadows lol I’m addicted and it’s my favorite makeup category
It’s so hard for me too, but I’ve gotten so many in the past 2 years that it’s starting to become overwhelming. So I really want to do it soon!
I have acquired 30 palettes in the last year and prior to that owned two lol Now when I bring in a palette I let one go

You can put it in the freezer for 2 hours to killed the bacteria.
You did really well. I think you had solid reasonings for keeping and getting rid of things. You also did not keep most things just for the sake of keeping them. I only have 12 palettes right now after having more than 80 at one time. It took me 2 years of gradual decluttering to get down to that. I still buy one if I really like it, but I think less than 15 is really ideal and manageable for me. I think you curated yours in a very responsible way. You are a you tuber who does need to keep more than the average person but also realized what you realistically are going to even use then.
I've just gotten back into makeup recently, as I am now retired. For years, I wore minimal because I was in the AF. I have probably 10 palettes but mostly I am buying eye shadow singles and making my own palettes. I try to rotate around so that I am using them all equally, but as you know, you find your favorites. There just shouldn't be so much beautiful makeup, lol.
@@melaniecarver5719 yea. I actually took my favorite shades from 3-4 palettes and combined them into one Z palette. It really helped narrow things down when I was decluttering. I mean these were palettes that I kept because I liked and used 1 or 2 shades and it gave me such anxiety that I wasn't using the rest. I don't rotate mine evenly b/c some of them I keep for specific looks or some are more appropriate for certain seasons. But I will declutter all my makeup at the end of every season usually. I have a rule that if I don't use it during a certain time then it's going. I also do not like big palettes. The biggest one I have is 18 shades that I got in an ipsy bag. The rest are 12 and under.
@@brandigarcia8297 I have 2 of those big Morphe palettes and regret buying because they're so BIG! But I'm depotting most except my UD. I don't really do specific looks, just pick a palette/singles and go. I can't get the nerve to do some of these full on eye looks even though they're stunning. Maybe someday, lol.
Im on a Decluttering Purge as well. Ending the year with what I truely love most. 😏🥰

Hi Liora!💗 I love declutters. It's really a joy to be unattached to makeup. For me, I never thought I would declutter almost all of my Morphe palettes, but I did. I could never give up so many palettes I paid so much money for especially since when I try to sell any of them they don’t sell. I end up just giving what I can to my family and friends. I let them go shopping for whatever they like. ❤️❤️ you did amazing

Yes, returning stuff IS wasteful. Sellers are required by law to destroy opened makeup, even if it wasn’t used. So it goes right in the trash. I would always resell or give to a friend. Also you never know when someone would want to buy a palette just as a decor item!
Wait-- whaaaat? I've never taken one back so I didn't know this. That's CRAZY. I hear people on YT say all the time they're taking something back so wow. Wonder why they can't donate to shelters or host giveaways.
@@corinthhunter2416 if it’s been used, even once, it’s classified as “unsanitary,” so most shelters & charities won’t accept, and if they gave it in a giveaway, people are sketch and could sue them. Sad!!

@@CatMcCloud That is my biggest pet peeve! I cannot stand to see someone just open a bottle of foundation, dab it on their finger and swatch it, right there in the store! I mean, really? That's so gross. I just don't understand why some of these brands don't do a better job at making the packaging harder to open in the store. At least that way you can tell someone has tampered with it.
I have taken back foundation that was not my shade before, but now I just try to mix it to make it work, if possible. This is mostly because I am lazy when it comes to returning things, but I agree about it being so wasteful.

Yassss! I love declutter and collection review videos! I recently did a declutter myself in each category but I’m most proud when it comes to the palettes bc I declutter 89 and only kept 43! I think you did a great job and should be really proud!
I like my too faced cinnamon swirl palette more than I like my Natasha Denona mini nude and mini glam. And the cinnamon swirl lasts longer in my eyes than the Natasha Denona. I know I have an unpopular opinion, but I think cinnamon swirl really is that good!

Oh my gosh the too faced chocolate palette! I bought mine in 2016, and it’s still one of my favorites! It might have a dud shade or two, but mostly it’s just gorgeous and I love the matte formula. And the haute chocolate shade is the most beautiful satin lid shade. The OG too faced chocolate bar and the UD naked 3 are still some of my most used neutral everyday palettes. When I want to have a very flattering eye look and I want to look nice but I don’t want ti look like I tried too hard, I reach for those.

Out of all the declutter videos I've watched, you are the 1st one to declutter the Tati palette. I didn't think anyone let go of that one. It's kind of like the Mel Thompson Tiny Marvels palette. I'm glad to see someone let go of things for their own reasons.
Lol, the too faced clover is one of my favorite winter palettes, I just bought a back up! I love the mauve-y type shades so much. This palette does have a few shades I don’t like, but the shades I do like I really love! I do appreciate a good bright metallic , but sometimes I just want a beautiful soft satin because I find they just look so beautiful and soft and so flattering. I definitely prefer dark dramatic looks, but dramatic with satin shades for everyday, like spending time at school with my kids and all of their sports.

I enjoy watching other people declutter, don’t ask me why-I don’t know. 🤷🏻♀️. I have one and done of everything makeup, replace the products or try a new palette when I’m done and that’s it for me-but other people decluttering or showcasing a collection is fun to watch. Man I have never seen any of these palette. I love purples and pinks and swimmers only. The beautiful colors your getting rid of are wow. So pretty. I have tears in my eyes cause I wish I even owned one of the gorgeous ones.
I have spent this past weekend decluttering palettes- some are only swatched, others are new so I listed them on Mercari. It’s Sad really to see how we are always scurrying to get the latest drop to enjoy the one just purchased. Lip products got chucked. Threw out some palettes but crazily enough I still have over 60 palettes I’m keeping 🤣

I love your 10% idea! I receive tips at work, and I give half of them away every day to any homeless person I encounter on my way home. The first one I see gets it. I will stop my car in the middle of the street to give it away. And God takes care of us all. He just gives me more money the next day to give away.

Decluttered two big palettes, now I have under twenty and most of them are pretty small. Don't feel inspired by eyeshadows so much anymore, so I'm only interested in mini triochrome that was hinted in insider info. P. S. I couldn't believe you decluttered Pumpkin spice, it is the best that Too Faced ever done! I found your channel because of that video, you raved so much and made me finally buy it.
The minute you opened that first drawer…I fell in love; I love eyeshadows, they are my happy place, just like shoes, perfumes, books and I’m a weirdo…crystals…what can I say, these “things” are my happy place🥰. Wow, great declutter, you got rid of some great palettes, glad to hear you list them so that others can enjoy! I just decluttered also, and will also list on my Poshmark. I want to use what I have and if it's not being used, it needs to go to a new home where it's loved.
Colourpop palettes are magnetic so you can take off the glitter shades that's what i did and diclutter the shades from my other palettes that i didn't want like the glitters it's very fun like creating your own palette!

the chocolate bar was also my second high-end palette but I used it up before throwing it away :D then I used up Gingerbread spice and now I enjoy doing looks with the cinnamon swirl from too faced and sultry from ABH :)
This felt so good. I feel very disatisfied for some reason when I don't get the number of palettes kept and decluttered also I need to see how the drawers look before and after 😅 I loved your way of doing it.. I had 160+ palettes at some point and now I have 47 and I still feel like they're way too many. Wish I could go down to 15 but I can't even choose one to decluttwr at this point becauee I love all of them 😥

I have been watching you since your beginning days with TJ maxx finds. I feel like I am scavenging with you too!😆 Love that you have a huge collection. I love watching long declutter/collection videos like this. I think it is a matter of preference really, I felt there were so many nice shadows you decluttered and kept a lot which quality and color story I don’t prefer. For example, you kept the wet n wild and let go of the Kaleidos. Funny how people have different taste. Wish I could grab those decluttered palettes while you were doing them! 🤣 i must say, i like that you are really doing a savage declutter to make room for new ones
