I tried to give grey solid hatch in my drawing in solid works 21 .I created a new layer for it but just showing black solid hatch .pls help.

Is there a way to hatch around holes that are in the sketch area?
I am not entirely sure which area you are referring too, but anyplace that you can put a sketch you can create a boundary to hatch in. Or any contiguous planar surface can also be hatched.
