I listened to Floor’s version and it is indeed a beautiful version. However, I had to strain to listen to the words because the music was so loud. As far as clarity and full on emotion, Dimash’s version is superior in every way, hands down. This is NOT to diminish Floors version because from what I could hear, it was excellent. Lara Fabian also does an incredible yearning and haunting version, especially because she wrote the lyrics, but Dimash makes me feel he’s begging with his whole mind, heart and soul to not leave him. ❤❤❤But, I respect to each his own. ❤❤❤peace and acceptance.

Believe me, I hear every available version of Adagio with other singers, but my absolute favorite version of the song is this one with Dimash. I use different fragments of the song on my mobiles, my alarm clock and my doorbell 😁 and I have been listening to the song almost every day since I first heard it with Dimash in 2018. Floor is a Dutch singer and she is very good. But the Dutch singer Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation is also very good. The female singer that looks the most like Dimash is Diana Ankudinova and the male singer would be someone like Marcelito Pompoy. Diana Ankudinova has a amazing range. But Sohyang is the best female singer. There are many amazing singers but none have the level of Dimash.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. Dimash holds Lara Fabian, who also sang this song, in very high regard. You should check her version out and you will find that she also puts her heart and soul into her performance. Then check out Dimash singing with her and along with Aida Garafullina in Ti Amo Cosi. You will hear Dimash in his beautiful lower register, and how well her can blend with other great singers. I listened to Floor’s version and it is indeed a beautiful version. However, I had to strain to listen to the words because the music was so loud. As far as clarity and full on emotion, Dimash’s version is superior in every way, hands down. This is NOT to diminish Floors version because from what I could hear, it was excellent. Lara Fabian also does an incredible yearning and haunting version, especially because she wrote the lyrics, but Dimash makes me feel he’s begging with his whole mind, heart and soul to not leave him. ❤❤❤But, I respect to each his own. ❤❤❤peace and acceptance.

Believe me, I hear every available version of Adagio with other singers, but my absolute favorite version of the song is this one with Dimash. I use different fragments of the song on my mobiles, my alarm clock and my doorbell 😁 and I have been listening to the song almost every day since I first heard it with Dimash in 2018. Floor is a Dutch singer and she is very good. But the Dutch singer Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation is also very good. The female singer that looks the most like Dimash is Diana Ankudinova and the male singer would be someone like Marcelito Pompoy. Diana Ankudinova has a amazing range. But Sohyang is the best female singer. There are many amazing singers but none have the level of Dimash.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music composition and different lyrics (Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance).
But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer of this new version.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.

Dimash holds Lara Fabian, who also sang this song, in very high regard. You should check her version out and you will find that she also puts her heart and soul into her performance. Then check out Dimash singing with her and along with Aida Garafullina in Ti Amo Cosi. You will hear Dimash in his beautiful lower register, and how well her can blend with other great singers.
