As an OU fan I have wondered how this game would have played out had Snoop Minnis not been suspended before this game. When I heard Snoop was out for this game I knew the game was a lock-win for the Sooners
James Gray: Why? Because they beat Florida State? If that's your reasoning then you want head to head to be the deciding factor which means by your reasoning Washington should have played in that game because they beat Miami head to head and finished with the same record. You can't say head to head counts when it's in your favor but doesn't when it doesn't count in your favor. Either it's Washington beating Miami who beat FSU or you just pick who seems like the best. FSU made a ton of mistakes in the Miami game and probably overlooked them, still barely lost. I think FSU was probably the best team of the three of them though all 3 were pretty equal. Had Washington been a 9-3 team then by all means you have to go with Miami. If Miami would have kept Davis or hired a halfway decent coach they would have had back to back NC's after this anyway.
@@dadestarmysteries255 That canes team was stacked and were clearly the best team. Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, ED Reed Cliton Portis Willis Megee they had a nfl pro bowl team in college
@@dadestarmysteries255 you sound dumb as hell if you think that FSU team was better than that Miami Hurricanes team Miami was snubbed that year then actually won in 2001 then got robbed in 2002 against Ohio State on a bs PI call
@@dadestarmysteries255 No shit. They had the same record and beat Florida State earlier in the year. They would've beat OU had they been given the chance.
Best defensive performance in the history of college football.
I was thinking the same thing. Okla had three to four defenders around each pass.
Bama 1992
I’m here because I cannot believe Coach Heupel ever played ball. Good Old Rocky Top!
Before that Boomer Sooner.
I'm here because Coach Heupel is a TN Vol. GBO. The best is yet to come for Josh Heupel and our team
Yeah buddy 😊
Oklahoma scored all 15 points in this game. lol
I really miss the days when we didn't get blown out in these types of games....
So weird seeing Oklahoma actually playing great defense.
As an OU fan, I agree. But it feels like there is a little defense being played under BV
Wrong. It’s weird to see them not playing defense. Having an elite team on both sides of the ball is in our DNA.
BOOMER!!!
The defense stepped up as the dynamic OU offense sputtered down the stretch of that season. Defense carried them to the only Stoops title.
I'm here because Brent Venables is now the new head coach at Oklahoma. I'm excited to get back to this kind of defense!
This didn't age well.
@@nwalker1423 lol
I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's still waiting!
LOL well hows that going for yall

There’s our coach 🍊
Yeah buddy 😊
Im here cause josh heupel is the head coach of my tennessee vols
Whos here before Heupels return game to Oklahoma
God bless Jesus loves and has a plan for all

Now Heupel is our coach!
That HIT at 2:54 by #11 Ontie Jones, almost killed that man. WOW. He is one of my favorite players for Bob Stoops.
This marked the fastest turn around in college football history.
My favorite OU quarterback.
I remember everyone saying Florida state was to good and too fast for Oklahoma. Yeah nope.
"OU's chants will never die!". Boomer Sooner! ❤️☝️🏈
Congratulations Sooners. We both don't like Florida State. Also I am very pleased that Josh Hypuel is the coach at Tennessee😊
It should've been OU vs Miami, but we got "Snubbed" by a damn computer
Well is wasn’t. Get over it
By all of 3 points
😂😂😂 if only the CFP was around. So happy they got rid of the BCS.
washington should have been in it
Heupel has gained some weight since college days.
What a magical season
1 bad snap from a shutout. That Defense was lights out!
That's my head coach! #GBO 🍊
If i didn’t already know what position Heupel used to play, and you asked me now based on what he looks like now, I’d have said lineman.
I just want to know how on earth that dude Chris Weinke won the Heisman
At the coin toss, Torrence Marshall, OU's linebacker, told Weinke that Marshall was "gonna get my man (Heipel) his Heisman back"
@@soonerwhirle that is awesome lol. They just know off the rip.
Hell at least Georgia TCU had offense. This game was brutal
Football was a lot different back then.
For Tennessee's sake, I hope Heupel makes a better coach than he was a quarterback.
He may not have looked that impressive in the game, however Heupel did finish second in Heisman voting in 2000. Matter of fact, behind Weinke.
You must be young, Josh Hepuel was a good Qb

Hopefully Brent can get that dog back in US! BOOMER!

@Ricky LaFleur give the guy more than one year.

Oklahoma was lucky that Miami got screwed by the BCS. Otherwise they would of been rolled by Miami in this game.
I love that I bleed orange! 🧡🧡🧡🧡
It’s a travesty that OU hasn’t won another championship since 2000. Can I just see one before I die?
should have won in 03 against lsu and 08 against florida and maybe even 17

Chris Weinke was so overrated. He had 6 drafted NFL WR's while he started at FSU. Played horrible in this game.

idk wym, like yes, in todays standards no, but back then these defensive stalemates were so much better to watch then shootouts.
