- Here's my first impressions and longer review of Beaufort Londons perfume from their Hell or High Water collection, 1805 Tonnerre, supposedly based on scenes from the battle of trafalgar, but more like scenes from the Shadow over Innsmouth, it's absolute dark brutality in a bottle.
Oh thank God you put this vid up! I had BORING day today and this review made me laugh and smile. The lime must be for the sailors to keep scurvy away! It sounds like a very literal interpretation of the sea. You're right, if you've lived by the sea, you know the smell. (I'm from coastal California, I know that deep ocean smell, like funky algae.) Definitely, a fragrance for pirates!!! Hahahaha...For yourself, by yourself. Brilliant! Still smiling in the USA!

So I've been eyeing this brand for a while, impossible or near impossible to get samples at a good price. Found a bunch of testers and blind bought this one in the pack. Your reviewing style is perfect for me and I've noticed whatever you see in a scent I do too so this is win. When you said metallic smoke I got excited.
I didnt let it get past that burning flesh opening, I have and love Coeur de Noir from this house, but your review makes this one seem even more interesting great video
Ha. Great review. Wearing my sample today and the Cthulhu reference is so appropriate. I'm bored of all my sweet frags and now I want something a little more obnoxious. Love it.
I have to say, Im impressed by this review! A shop gave me a sample of this amazing fragrance after buying there, its a must try. Great content, cheers!
It's really interesting to see lots of different opinions on this one . I have a suspicion that it might be kinda quite different on different skin. For me the blood notes fully come out and that feels really off putting whilst also being interesting especially with the deep sea smells as well. That does mean it's a little unwearable for me for most times but I'm definitely gonna wear it to a black metal show after lockdown as fire and ugly natural smells are gonna be perfect for that lol.

This house is very strange. I think a few of them are nice, but I don’t like any of them enough to buy them I don’t think. This one was much to smokey for me and I didn’t like the other things going on. I’m glad you like this one enough to consider a purchase.
It's really over the top smokey isn't it? I think I was just about okay with it, but yeah, really pushing the limits of what anyone would want to smell for any period lol

Ha, yeah wasnt for me that one! I get the feeling a lot of their scents are very divisive, you either love or hate them. I loved Tonnere but definitely have been told that it's awful by a few people too 😂 I think that just means they have great creativity though! Thanks!

Ahh thanks, I'd love to try that, Kerosene can be a bit tricky to get in the UK, but I shall keep my nose out for it! There's a few Kerosene scents I really want to try so It'll go on the list, cheers!
