Scott, I have to share! Today I thought I heard your voice and lo and behold, it was coming from my living room. (You may recall I am my 88 yr old mothers full time caregiver and co-own a house with her.) She had stumbled across you on RUclips and was totally engrossed in one of your videos. I had to smile. There you are, just spreading knowledge and joy!
Awww brilliant
Wow, 3 floors of antiques! I would totally get lost in that place for hours!
You and me both!
Scott I am originally from the eastern shore of MD on the Chesapeake Bay so I was excited to see this.
Those shops were awesome. Lots of nice treasures ☺️👍🏻.
Nice spot off the interstate. I’ve passed it many times but never stopped and shopped. Adding this to my list.
I liked and shared this video 📹 out your welcome Scott and congratulations on getting a phonograph.
Had to smile at the moon and stars☺️ i have my mothers, made by my grandpa. The stars with it each have a small shelf to display one china angel and grandpa put glitter on the moon so it would sparkle. Mom had a group of Lefton china angels with spaghetti hair playing celestial instuments. Wish i still had them. Tfs🥰
I love that basket! I hope you’ll put a pothos or a philodendron in it and let it grow over the handle for support.
Not to brag, but i first went to Havadegrace as a small child for a Bicentennial year Parade! Ugh i'm old. Super quaint but pricey town.
I love watching you shop the antique store because I can never see one. I’m in a wheelchair and the aisles are not wide enough. I only shop online because estate sales, yard sales and thrift shops also are mostly not accessible. I am grateful for resellers such as yourself. I know I pay more than if I could thrift myself. Being disabled is expensive. So I just go to Etsy and EBay to see what I can find. I love your videos. I learn so much. I’m housebound so it’s a bit like visiting a friend who shares my interests. Thank you so much Scott. Your videos bring me so much joy and take me to places I can’t visit anymore.
Thank you for visiting Havre de Grace. I live about one block from the first shop you visited. Been here 25 years and it is a nice little town. There is a light house and some museums. During the summer there's a festival every weekend. New Year's Eve there is a Duck( decoy) Drop.
Such a lovely town.
My daughter lives there also. We are at the park all the time. I like walking on the praminode. Especially at high tide. I was hoping to catch Santa on his boat. But I guess I missed him.
Undercover Angel by Alan O’Day. Thank you for getting that song stuck in my head for all day. 😂😂😂. Pricey shop.
I was just at Seneca the other day! I can lose myself browsing in there for hours. HdG is a lovely place. How it has been able to stay small and quaint for so long amazes me. Definitely a hidden gem. Thank you for sharing.
Good evening Scott, the year i was born the Beatles made there American debut on Ed Sullivan😊
My mother had a turquoise kitchen in her new 1960 home. Her favorite color. I love that green glass punch bowl, stand and cups. Also those lovely red cut to clear lamps.
Hi Scott this place was cool a lot of awesome treasures nice score on your basket loved all
The head vases and the old kitchen appliances and the Fenton glass always injoy watching your shop alongs take care
Was interested in the building so…
Shortly after 1878, Stephen J. Seneca opened a fruit-packing factory in the S. J. Seneca Warehouse with a tin can factory next to Havre de Grace Waterfront. Seneca made improvements to canning with his patents; 1889 Can-soldering machine 1891 Can-soldering machine By 1899, Seneca had become a canned goods broker.
Havre de Grace video gave me heart palpitations from all the Coca Cola memorabilia. OMG, thanks for sharing. I know it isn't your thing, but I love it. 😂
That was fun! Thank you for sharing the scenic overlook. Does a body good to just breathe sometimes and take in the view. Those geese were reminding us to eat our greens! :P
The geese were sweet.....preening and enjoying their greens.
Yay hon!!
Hon....yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up in "Balmer" County. I started going to antique stores when I was a teenager ..50 yrs ago. That's when you could buy old stuff for cheap. I love all your videos, and mostly, I love hearing you speak. Takes me home. I live in Colorado now.
Thank you Scott 😊❤
I love that town. So quaint.
“Every time a bell rings an angel gets it’s wings” You sang that song (which I had to google lol) and then the doorbell rings! Funny! An angel got some wings!
Wonderful trip through the stores. Awesome items.
Love looking at the different items and prices at antique stores across the country. Beautiful water scenery thanks for sharing 👍
It's always appreciated when you share your adventures with us, Havre de Grace looks like a charming city to visit! Those antiques store price are definitely 'retail, retail'... I like the planter/flower basket that you bought, it's easy to see why it caught your eye! "If it's Depression Era green, Scott's gonna want it!"... Your front porch is one 'spoiled lady' since you've been buying so many lovely things for 'her'! 😍
Fun place. Loved the teapot
I was there years ago late at night when all the shops were closed . I remember windows of decoys, a remarkable display of water fowl and particularly swans. The housed were old and unique.
This was another great video! You are my favorite, vintage RUclips channel. Most of the others that I watch, don’t know how to decorate their homes&they end up looking like a flea market. You pull yours together very well.😊
Wow, thank you!
Wow. Hope the Mariner museum was open. What shop were you in? Did you get in the light house?
Undercover angel..Yes, that song😂
My historic Kentucky town closed down all the antique stores to make way for being the ‘Bourbon Capital of the World’. The historians either died or retired. No one has stepped up to replace them. The historic ‘My Old Kentucky Home’ (Stephen Foster) sits in the middle of a golf course. We no longer want to know our roots and celebrate them. We just want to produce a $10,000 bottle of bourbon. This area was the Vatican’s first major settlement east of the Rockies in the 1700s. Maybe, I’m just frustrated because my Bourbon level is low. LOL.
The green childs house cleaning mop and vacuum are adorable. Plus always enjoy seeing Dee's funny expression on a questionable subject!
Ha Ha Ha...I love how you utilized Dee's face...lol
Scott these are ALL my go to places!!!
By astonishing coincidence I was in Maryland yesterday (same day you were) PICKING UP a piece of artwork I bought, that could not be shipped by the seller. The scenery was beautiful.
My Mom had that green toy stove. I've got it now. Still works, but should be rewired for safety reasons. Nice, interesting stores.
Such a lovely spot. Thanks for the tour!
Aww man I would love to visit that cute place, but alas here I am on the West coast. Thanks for taking us along, Scott.
Thanks, Scott, for the nice visit. You're right, I've passed Havre de Grace many a time, but was always on my way from NJ to further down 95. The basket screams your front porch, but I see a nice big fern. It's good to have Summer thoughts in Winter. Great that you had to go, but still had time to admire the geese. Wonderful.
This was a pleasant surprise. You shopping in my old stomping grounds at my favorite antique store! I'm glad you found and enjoyed Seneca Cannery. Peace and Blessings all 🛎🕰⛵️
Scott, my favorite item you showed was that old photo of the school kids. As you panned the photo I couldn’t help but wonder who they were, and how their life turned out. 😉
Beautiful! I love Havre de Grace!
🥦🟦 👀 who turned the lights out!
I like the flower basket. Train some ivy around the handle.❤
I have a picture of myself when I was about 8 years old, reading an Alice in Wonderland book, and next to me a moon and star plaque on the wall. Now I have 2 moon and star plaques on my wall that I bought a few years ago and I love them. Thank you for another fun video.
Thanks Scott for another great video. I’ll have to visit this town next time I’m in Maryland.🙂
That was fun, but oooof those prices were up there.... love your funeral basket, those aren't easy to find, they were mostly thrown out by cemetery maintenance crews. I've actually never came across one, and I love funeral memorabilia, I even have a Victorian child's casket which has been converted to a side table, unused of course..lol ..no damage to the plug holes where the casket is sealed with wooden dowels, I picked it up in an old, closed mortuary estate sale, that I dug out from the very back of the basement. I also collect memento mori.
I love that planter, it would be great with ivy growing in it and trained around the handle. Wish I had it! ❄️🇨🇦🎄
Yaaaay
Hi Scott, I enjoy all your videos, this one especially as I spend my adult life in Maryland, the last 30 of those in Harford county and the last 8 in Have de Grace. When you get time try to go back there are a lot of small shops through out the town. In fact when I moved to Texas a few years ago and needed to downsize, I was able to sell a lot of my treasures to one of those small shop owners. There are towns of other 'antique mecca's ' such as Annapolis, Kensington, New Market. Ask Vinnie he's be more uptodate as it's been a few years since I lived there. Thanks again.
Love Swanky Swigs
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you Scott for checking out our small town!! Myself and my associate just took over management of Seneca Cannery Antiques in October. What a nice surprise to see pop up on my RUclips this morning. 😊 I have the booth with the turquoise oven & the vintage kids cleaning items are mine. We sure hope you’ll check us out again when you have more time! Would it be alright if I shared your video or a part of your video on our Facebook page!?
Very cool! I enjoyed my time at Seneca Cannery and will surely return!
Hi Scott you were in my neck of the woods! I go to the cannery quite often, I would have loved to run into you there. Loved all the Christmas decorating videos too 😊
I have that 78 record Scott ❤
Which 78 do you have???
@@oldcuriosityshop265 smile a little bit now. I think it's on a Victor ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Electrically recorded 78, but it's exactly the same record. Been in hiding for years.
😂 I’ve never heard that song before. He’s kinda a cross between Dan Hill and George Michael.
👋🙌👍
