Ritchie Richardson besides being a ginormous dunderhead, was the most irresponsible captain of the WI in history. How many times have we seen the team in a spot of bother and then he came out and played a rash shot? What a clown
Great fielder and good looking man was coming at number 5 which is generally a place for a good batsman. What was his total contribution in the tournament. I had seen south african captain clive rice and tony greig playing for world series. It is alright that world at large desired that sports should be out side from racial politicals.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Blake Conner Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Great work...Now we have all top 7 teams playing each other in 1992 world cup. One world of sport in NZ have better highlights than channel 9 i guess and they televised all the matches played in NZ...only one left is NZ v Zim match...
I could not see why Richie Richardson dropping Patrick Patterson the world fastest bowler, and picked all those little none bowlers from Antigua & Nevis ahead of him. From the time Lloyd won the first two world championships, and running up to India in 1983,they passed first rounds all the team they picked. Because after Lloyd left the team everything started to fall apart, because of some poor decisions by the incoming captains. Most of the captain started to used most of the players from their country, and that was the down fall of the team. Because there was no blance in the team, that is what ruined the so-called WI team. Poor selection of players, and the team just kept falling apart. It is not mouth play cricket,it is action how you performed during the game.
Imran Khan (IK PM) was an all-time great in two disciplines (bowling and captaincy), and Test standard in a third (batting). No other cricketer in entire history can match this. Look at it this way - in bowling he averages as McGrath or Marshall (22.8), in batting his average is identical to that of Lamb and Atherton (37.8). His bowling stats are the most balanced for all bowlers in history who have taken over 300 Test wickets - against all countries, home or away, he averaged sub-30. Achieved the highest ICC Test Rating ever since pitches started to get covered post WWII - 922 in 1983. History's greatest ever bowler-skipper: 187 Test wickets @ 20.2. That's not the end of it - as a skipper, he averaged 52 with the bat! Imran Khan is easily history's greatest-ever all-rounder, as Sobers, although regarded and an all-time grant batsman, was not Test standard as a bowler (averaged 34, S/R of 93 balls per wicket). Whereas Imran Khan, regarded unquestionably as an all-time great bowler, was also Test standard as a batsman (averaged as much as Atherton and Lamb). Sobers was a mediocre skipper, and Imran is one of the, if not, the finest-ever captain. Moreover, the value of a bowling all-rounder is worth much more than that of a batting all-rounder. Imran Khan's captaincy skills were magnificent, he was the pioneer in multiple dimensions - be it for the introduction of neutral umpires, using strike bowlers in short spells, focusing on wicket-taking instead of run-restriction in ODIs etc. Wisden's ex Editor Tim De Lisle reckoned if an all-time Test XI would be assembled, Imran Khan would be the natural choice as skipper. Serial Man-of-the-Series Awards winner ever since that feature got introduced in the early 1980s. Trailblazing fast bowler, who inspired generation of genuine fast bowlers from Pakistan. so selfless, he refused to play weak opposition in the final few years of his career, citing lack of motivation as the reason. Once declared team innings when himself batting in the 90s! Regarding his quest for success and taking up challenges, Imran Khan's famous words were, "I am not afraid ever of losing. I just hate losing." He was the team's de facto coach and spokesman too. Imran Khan, thus, is truly unmatchable in cricket history.
Koi soch bhi sakta hai Aajkal k us zamane mein 15 over scores hote the 40 ya 45? Thanks to Mark Great batch, Sanath Jayasurya jinho ne pehele 15 over ko kaise khel na hai woh dikha diya. In 1992 worldcup Greatbatch and in 1996 Jayasurya and Kaluwitharana.
Yeah having complied a playlist for the 1992 World Cup There's only about 6 or 7 matches that I can't find any video of. NZ v ZIM involved a host nation so you can take it as red that it was televised. Where as most of the matches in regional Australia weren't televised. I was surprised to see that there was footage of SL vs Zim and Eng v Zim
Great era of the cricket.1992 was the last cup of that golden era of cricket.
Tony Cozier's voice ..a beacon of Nine's wide world of Sports Cricket
Cant believe Benjamin and Cummins were regularly selected ahead of Patterson in the early 90s
They don't like Jamaican
Lĺĺlĺlĺlĺllllĺlĺlĺĺĺĺĺ
Ĺĺ
There is issue in West Indies regarding Islans.
Patterson awesome and legend.
Such a pity SA got robbed in that semifinal… they deserved to win that World Cup. Definitely the best team in that tournament
My last comment on here seems to have been deleted but SA definitely were not robbed. They would have lost under D/L.
Jonty was the only player who won many matches just with his fielding and that is the reason he is the best
Colin Bland did previously, but he had a test batting average of 50 also.
yes you are right
RIP Tony Cozier!
plz upload the zim vs eng match in world cup-1992.
upload PHIL SIMMONS 110 runs off 125 balls from the 1992 world cup match "Sri Lanka vs West Indies."

Those days no third umpire and no way to check edges..
So it should have televised in England I guess...

lol , Rushmere had one of the lowest strike rates of all our local batsmen ,hardly a one day player.
Dude. Rushmere was at that time in the form of his life for eastern province and was middling pretty much everything for EP.
