My God. Must have listened to this a hundred times. 11 comments only. Crazy, crazy world. God bless you Ms. Barker.
This sound hauntingly beautiful. And honest. And talented. Just wanted to thank you girls for this wonderful experience.
Wow. That is beautiful!
Such a touch, such contact... wonderful
That was incredible, loved it ever since I first heard it on The Shadow Line (also brill) and hunted down the album, just come across this live performance, amazing.
Same - it haunted me til I found it ............ and it still does. Exquisitely achingly beautiful
Oh my god. How could anyone write that. Beautiful song.
Who am I now without your love?
Who am I alone in a day that has gone?
Without your love to return upon
I'm a featherless bird in a sky so absurd
Why oh why's there so much movement
When all I long for is
To lay down in love's pause
And dream I know something of truth
Oh hide me deeper
In your peace further
And lose me in this greed
I've found in your need
chilling, beautiful, have loved this song since The Shadow Line, that lyric "Why oh why is there so much movement" is just amazing and i can't explain why, sheer poetry.
A dark room, eyes closed and Emily Barker. If I was anymore relaxed I'd turn to liquid.
Fucking incredible. ❤
Dit is mooi.
I cannot see a way through it/.
But I fucking can,
Again.
This is the single most beautiful thing I have ever heard, except maybe Sandy Denny in her prime. Heart achingly poignant.
