Sewing and hand work used to be predominantly a mans job, and still is in some parts of the world. The crafting world is a little different but there are still men involved throughout this industry too. :)
James did a great job and this video gives me the confidence to recommend this class for beginners. To clarify, while I'm not a beginner, I do frequently meet people who want to learn, as well as beginners who are struggling. James showed that this class can teach people machine embroidery, step by step, including creating beautiful ITH projects. Way to go James. I'm thrilled to see you join the Sweet Pea team.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Benson Kayden I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
James your Mum should be very proud of you ... You seem to be a really easy going sort of guy. (Not saying you wouldn't have your moments ... as any young man does ... lol) ... Love the way you show your uncertainty with choosing your first lot of colors ... we've all been there and done that ... ;-) ... but what you chose was really great and went together very well. You took me back to when I was choosing colors for my first few projects ... hhhhmmmm ... to think of it ... I still take ages to choose what I think are the right combinations. lol You did a wonderful job and I loved your casual approach ... made me feel at ease watching you. Please keep up the great work and I'm certain you will grow to love Embroidery Sewing. Such a great feeling to look at a finished item and know that you and your best mates (sewing machine, threads, and the right materials) did it together!! Happy sewing James ... God Bless and please stay safe. Stay safe and healthy everyone ... :) and most of all .... stay home and keep on sewing. :)
James, think of this as construction. Ok, not with bricks and sticks, but construction, none-the-less. And instead of paint, you use fabric. You did a fine job. Except I have no idea how you did it because you didn’t explain it. You go, kiddo. 😊
This isn't the 'How To' for this design, this is a promotion video for doing the In the Hoop Course itself. We just wanted to give you a little more information about doing each design. swpea.com/products/machine-embroidery-in-the-hoop-course
James - Sweet Pea Staff. What was the machine sitting on? The black stand. That would be a great tool for someone who has limited space.... (me...LOL). Please advise... Thanks!
Sorry you don't see this as just a bit of fun showing that boys can embroider too. All the steps, patterns, needs lists and videos are available by the students that purchase the course. swpea.com/products/machine-embroidery-in-the-hoop-course?_pos=2&_sid=4b875236d&_ss=r
This isn't our beginner course, this is just a promotion video for the course. The course itself includes 12 separate designs and each design has step by step guided instructions and a fully guided video tutorial for each design.
Real men embroider and hand sew! It was great meeting you in Novi, MI in 2023.

Welcome aboard!
Hi James! What did you use to float your material on the hoop? Thank you!
He used a medium cutaway stabiliser.
Great job
Thumbs up for The dance moves alone. Lol!
Brilliant
What cutaway are you using? what kind of batting are you using?
We are using s Sulky Cut-Away and a Quilt Batting
Well done but please sit still .
😀 He is making me seasick
I wish you would have explained the steps
The full course does explain the step by step process.

The video and editing were good but it really didn’t explain how to do anything like you would expect from a “beginners” video.

Hi Shannon, the trolley table we use is the BROR table from IKEA :)
@@Dee-ik8ro thank you
Music too loud in between speaking.
would have been nice if you walked us through the steps. I learned nothing!

I learned a few things from watching him do some things but this is in NO way a BEGINNER course... didn't teach anything at all!!
