actually, it is not so inconsistant. Just shows his flaws: he is very sensitive about the newborn/baby topic, hence his behaviour here and later on when he is trying to get pregnant with his partner (trying not to spoil haha)

And her plan was to murder the baby and just get up and walk away, but because she got sick because of the whole delivery of the baby she had to be taken to the ER. To that doctor he judged her like judging a piece of rag. She was lower class than he was, and that’s how he judged her.

I see so many people debating whether what the 14 year old girl did was attempted murder or not. While I believe it was attempted murder I can see why she did it, with a history of addiction, a criminal record and no parents (from what age we don’t know) it’s clear she spent her life alone and scared. Plus we don’t know how she came to be pregnant, if it was r@pe that baby was a constant 9 month reminder of the trauma. Instead if sending her to prison, the justice system should look for a way to help and rehabilitate her because it’s likely she’s going to start suffering from post-natal depression.
