Man! You saved me a lot of TIME: I thought my leak into jack was due to either vent or sliding window. This would have cost me not only in TIME, but money if I broke something in those parts. But you offered a no-cost one-second real diagnosis and fix. Genius! This is so profound and significant, that if there was a button "Donate" I would gladly contribute money, just to show how much time and money you saved me.
FYI another leak area on these back windows in where the weather stripping meets towards the back of the window. Over time the seal shrinks and creates a gap. I filled mine in with some black RTV and that fixed that one.. Good luck!
Any chance you know the part number? I might’ve broken the clips 😅, the little piece would not wiggle out, still can’t get it out after breaking the whole thing off.

Awesome! I'm going to make full use of this tip. I have the leaking window problem on my '94 FZJ80, so thank you for posting this.

What kind of silicone do you suggest? Are you talking about a caulking or a grease? Very informative and I hope this dries out my bottle jack!
100% my problem.

Very helpful!
How to open Toyota Land Cruiser 2000 model back window?
Is the camera person ok? He’s showing the clips, point at the clips!
