The three legends together and the whole band. Thank you I listen to your music almost everyday! Bill Withers in Carnegie Hall in my car on CD, it’s heaven on earth!
He had character, strength, and an unlimited sense of purpose for those who simply listened. He lived the moments, then wrote. His music gave pause for internal reflection, not deflection. Rightfully admiring his efforts from struggles, each brought success, which he graciously shared through action. His music lifts up, not frenzied, nor laziedly tears down. Audiences stood everytime. United in commonality of understanding, and endorsed by hundreds of thousands in gratitude, his choosen words brought clarity, and respect.. that makes him one of the toughest and strongest of talented persons. How proud he was to be at the Lincoln Memorial: he made an impact that brought him to be honored at a symbol of historic value. What a lovely day!
John Legend knows best how to support his people through music, and create special connection with those who are just a bit ahead of our generation.. Amazing song and colaboration! #BillWithers #StevieWonders #JohnLegend #Leanonme #Intro #2015 #2024USA❤🧡💛💚💙💜

So glad he got this recognition before he died. Can we talk about how good Stevie still sounds at this age? And while he may not have much hair left on TOP, what he DOES have goes way down past the middle of his back.
When will touch the heart of so many people one way or another make the feel-good with whatever we do God will always replace them before he takes them. I've always listened to his song ever since I was a kid and his voice and melody as always touch my heart and give me hope through life.
Powerful...the two Legends must've been greatly impressed by John Legend's powerful delivery...just like a doting dad would...knowing their their son is firmly following in their footsteps!
The amount of Love that he had when a society was ready to put him away and he ran like the care that he knew would capture a world . He was ahead of his time. A real in depth with all that was around him and he used it with just being him and noticed . He should be in a hall of fame for his art and it does not matter , that man will always be in mine for the music and the lyrics that he wrote.
Mr. Legend, a literal grandchild/representation of decades of open doors (fought for with blood). You've been passed the torch by an American icon. Yeah: We expect a lot--just as you've been blessed by our love. We love you Mr. legend: Move it forward. We look to you.
Sang this with some fellow Scouts from our troop, at a summer Hi-Adventure Camp, a couple months before reaching Eagle Scout, after several scouts from a few different troops had been injured in a boating accident a couple days prior. Had all 500 scouts, leaders, and staff singing, clapping g, and crying along. It was powerful.
So sad about his passing. He showed up at an awesome tribute concert to him a couple years ago here in Brooklyn and sang one song. It was such a beautiful tribute. Truly one of the greatest songwriters/singers we've ever had. Always wished he'd do one final tour but it was great just having him there that night. Rest easy Bill Withers. Your music moved the whole world and still does. RIP 😓🙏✌️💔💙
Before the advent of modern media of audio and video recordings the achievements of people were recorded in books. So before 1900 we mostly know about just leaders and writers. We know of Shakespeare but not the actors who performed his works. But recordings have allowed us to experience the performances of people, even after they are gone. Of course, most everything recorded today is fleeting garbage that people won't want to consume tomorrow. But over time great stuff has been recorded and it will be with us forever. Mr. Withers' content falls into that category. People will be enjoying his music long after we are all gone. He has achieved immortality.
I just wish 🙏 if God could bring someone back from the dead because of how much people from different part of the world I will definitely wish for him to bring Bill Withers back because before my mom dad his makes feel the best of her self and brings joy and smile on her face all-day. I remember 4 young enlisted soldiers in my battery came into my room didn't say a word, began singing this song and didn't say anything afterwards and left. I sat there and enjoyed the song and was shocked and in awe of the whole message. This was a gift from them to me. I was more bearable and allowed myself to be more relaxed after that. Thank you, you know who you are!!!
Beautiful story.
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼THANKS ! R I P Bill Withers , your lovely voice is in my heart

Lyrics:
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show
You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me (call me)
If you need a friend (call me) call me uh huh(call me) if you need a friend (call me)
If you ever need a friend (call me)
Call me (call me) call me (call me) call me
(Call me) call me (call me) if you need a friend
(Call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me)
Thank u God for sending me good friends throughout my life....PEACE!
thanks
I’m an American teacher living far from home, on my own and away from family and friends... this song is hopeful and heartbreaking right now.
Oh... I'm so sorry you are far away from home and friends but as long as you listen to this song you will always have someone to be there for you. Because a few years ago when I thought I lost everything this gives me courage to face my fears
Bill Whiters was humble, amazing, one of the best composers of all time, and just a great dude, did not like to tour, was a family man, gotta love that, Nilsson vibes. Thank your for your music, from Brazil.
2:15 Stevie just went back in time with that run

We lost a musical genius in the 𝓢𝓸𝓾𝓵 genre... but our mourning will be eased with the legacy of his whole 𝓢𝓸𝓾𝓵 in each of his songs.
It's hard to get a message that can reach out to every person regardless of boundaries set by society but Bill Withers united the whole globe in 5 minutes 😖😖RIP to a legend
Sure you're really right thanks for your compliment and understanding God bless you please can we be friends together
Note to John Legend: for all your appearances and talent, I'll remember you most for inducting Mr Withers into Rock Hall. We were there that night and it was galactic.
Thank you.
What an honor for John Legend not only to be on the same stage as Stevie, but to sing with him - legends.
He's a true legend

Beautiful rendition of a timeless classic for a musical legend. May you Rest In Peace and Power knowing you gave us classics we shall cherish always. I love that he was honored and celebrated at that time. Able, well and strong enough to sing-along to his own tribute. 👏🏾 👏🏾
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore
So glad he got this recognition before he died.
Can we talk about how good Stevie still sounds at this age? And while he may not have much hair left on TOP, what he DOES have goes way down past the middle of his back.
Preach!
This is so beautiful and such a loving tribute to such a wonderful and talented soul Bill Withers. Thank all the performers too.
Bill withers didn't die. the next realm needed this song to help them. he just moved.
now I really can't stop crying. This is sooo beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Bill Withers.
Sure you're really right thanks for your compliment and understanding God bless you please can we be friends together
RIP 😓🙏✌️💔💙
Wonderful, both of them, but no one can sing it like Bill Withers!
Who was trying to sing it like Withers. Sparking an unnecessary emotion.
Good bye bill withers thank you for making my mother happy for your songs she'll always enjoy hearing your joyful voice😢💐may God be with you angel👼❤️🙏
I just wish 🙏 if God could bring someone back from the dead because of how much people from different part of the world I will definitely wish for him to bring Bill Withers back because before my mom dad his makes feel the best of her self and brings joy and smile on her face all-day.
