Captivating from the first note. She's great.
Abi has been amazing since day one of this competition! I love that Katie gave her a little warning, "Your life is going to change". In one small way- look at the clothes she wore in this audition compared to what she now gets to wear during actual performances! She's always been extremely talented, but she's grown even more while she's been on the show. The mentoring the contestants get is top notch!

I figured out a hack several years ago and it's been near 100% at predicting. Look at the videos this week on american idols youtube channel and sort by videos posted this week and view count. You'll see that Abi is almost double the votes of Jack and Jack has a solid lead over will. It's all about the eye balls and who they're watching/voting for.
I'm a huge home town fan of Will, but she's the clear winner, not even close. One of the top 5 singers on AI ever. She's got range!
I’ve been listening and watching, and her musicality is truly greater than the others who are wonderful performers, but not quite at that level yet.

Like Lionel said, "That's the winner ... right there". He and Luke were right. She was the winner! It's the first time in the history of the show that the judges just said, "That's the winner" when they saw the first audition and it was. The viewers definitely got it right. She was the best every week.

It may be a true fact that Abi Carter has been one of the best performers of American Idol this season, but we won’t know that might happen until the finale despite Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry’s perspectives.
No question she'll be the winner. Just go look at her official videos on American Idol's youtube channel from this week and she has almost double the views of the next highest contestant.

As good as her audition was for showing the judges her talent; and it was because they said she could be the next winner....still, they had no idea how dominant her performances would be, and they underestimated her overall abilities as a performer because she was at a piano....she has some of the talents of Lady Gaga, Pink and Celine....she has everything to be a future multi grammy winner.
Remember Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson among many others. America often gets it wrong. 😮
