I have one that's currently 11 years old highly intelligent and explosively athletic but I wouldn't recommend one for a first-time dog owner and I almost forgot to mention amazing experience

I have one too. He's about 6 months old and a complete meathead. He's an amazing animal but definitely not for beginners. His obstinance is world class. He's an absolute wonder with kids and other dogs. Fetch? Not so much.
