Thank you so much from posting this! I am a new 811 LFRV and you have saved me from my "same salad every night" problem. AND this was my first successful dinner with no overt fats :D Last night I tried to make a salad dressing with no overts and ended up washing it out of my salad it tasted so bad (note to self: always taste the dressing before pouring it all over your salad!). I am eating my zucchini pasta now :D
For those of you with negative comments, this lady here is not tying to force her practice on anyone. Rather, she is just showing whoever interested how to make the zuccini pasta with marinara sauce. If you are so against eating raw food, why did you take the time to watch the video? I am not a vegetarian myself but I can combine this with a steak which would not hurt one bit.
@LindseyAnnC Yes, mostly fruit and some greens and that's it. I drink only filtered water and on occasion fresh young thai coconut water. My husband eats 95% raw. The only thing he eats that's cooked is broccoli and vegan, whole wheat crackers.
Thanks for the great videos! I tried this recipe tonight and it was fantastic. The texture was just like regular pasta and I couldn't stop after one helping! Keep up the great work!
You can also strain off some of the liquid through a fine strainer or cheesecloth. Then drink the juice and use the nice thick sauce over your noodles :)
@PeaceLoveWellness Yay, I'm so happy it was a success!!! I love this dish so much! So sorry to hear about your salad dressing fiasco. That's so frustrating! My favorite dressing right now is mango blended with cocktail grapefruit juice, which is basically the same as a tangerine or an orange. So yummy!
@ndufcat Thank you for very much for your insightful comments. I agree with you...I don't understand why the naysayers watch. Seems pretty silly. I'm happy you posted!
@stevenabb Well Steven, I don't know where you live, but where I live every home comes with a stove and microwave. Until I have the ability to build my own home, I'm pretty much stuck with them because they're not mine to dispose of.
Hi there. I know you left this question a long time ago, but just in case you or others might be interested still in how to get sun dried tomatoes when good quality ones aren’t sold where you live: one thought is that you could sun-dry tomatoes yourself if you live in a warm, sunny climate. I’ve sun-dried bananas and persimmons when I have too much of them at one time. The other thought was that you could order them off the Internet if it’s some thing that you’re able to do where you live.
Which cooking utensils and cookbooks do you recommend for the raw parts of my diet? (Currently I rent a room and I have not a lot of options for cooking "traditionally"; a small electric cooking burner and a saucepan.)
A spiralizer and a blender are really the only things I think you need in the kitchen. A vita mix or blendtec are the best for making nice cream, blending nuts and seeds, and soups etc, but you can also just use a nutribullet or other less costly blender for most stuff.
Sounds delish :D I'll definitely have to try it. Thanks for sharing all your great simple recipes. I just found your channel tonight and have been watching video after video :)
I usually buy them online from rawfromthefarm but they're not available right now. So bummed because I'm out! I just made my own in the dehydrator but haven't tried them yet. I've seen them at Whole Foods but the ones that have no sodium aren't organic. This sauce is still very good without them, they just make it thicker. Mother's market has amazing cherry tomatoes in a bag that would be great for making a thicker sauce. So glad to hear you're hiking! It's so much fun! :0)
you look so fit and healthy and you are sooooo thin!! you inspire me! :) in my parents house i have found a potato masher-spaetzle maker and i will try to use it 2 make raw pasta... i didn't manage 2buy a spirroli or something .. i will try at first how it tastes and then if i like it i will buy a special gadget! thanx! :)
@vdb129 Thank you very much for your kind words. I was really skinny when I made this video...my weight has balanced out very nicely since then. Good idea on waiting to see if you like it before you buy any gadgets. :0)
@daniyan Thank you so much for sharing! You can also buy a spiralizer that will make long spaghetti like noodles. I love my julienne peeler though, it's great. :o)
My family ordered pizza last night, and the smell of tomato sauce made my mouth water. It sounds so good right now!! I am going to make this recipe this weekend. Where do you buy your sun dried tomatoes? All of the different brands I have seen have contain sulfur dioxide. It sounds like something we shouldn't consume. Thanks so much! P.S. I have been hiking! : )
That's the beauty of raw food, no cooking appliances required. A good blender, or a stick blender, plus a nice size cutting board & good knife, are the basics. There are lots of great recipe books for the low fat raw vegan lifestyle. I like Dr. Graham's books - The New High Energy Diet or even The 80/10/10 Diet has a weeks worth of menu/recipes for each season. Also, check out Megan Elizabeth, Freelee, Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram, Kat Green, Josh Fossgreen & Brian Grecco for recipes.
@surfer53 Your body naturally produces testosterone. The higher the nutrient content in your food, the better your body becomes at producing this hormone.
@FruitarianSwimster I bought some great ones online from rawfromthefarm / dot / com. They're organic and have no added salt. You could also make the sauce without them, it just might not be as thick. Sometimes certain farmers at the farmers markets sell sun dried tomatoes but that's usually in the summer when tomatoes are in really fresh and sweet.
@explorer1717 Thank you for your sweet comments and for sharing your personal information. It's much appreciated and so important for others to see how healthy the vegan diet really is. :o)
@xsliceofheavenx Yes, absolutely...I love cucumber noodles! Yes, you can use dates only instead of sd tom's. If you like your sauce really sweet and use a few more dates, it will likely help it to not be as watery, however, I can't say for sure cause I haven't tried this. After you make your sauce, you could always let it sit for a few minutes and drain off any excess water. I'm sure it will still taste delicious! :0)
May e try experimenting as it depends how creamy (or chunky) you like your sauce. Also if it’s too watery, you can strain it through a strainer and just drink the juice and have a thicker sauce.
@forester218 I think the general assessment of soy in a vegan diet is that it's accepted as a health food. However, it's not a part of the 80/10/10 lifestyle. My personal experiences with soy have not been favorable. It has a strong negative effect on my hormone balance & I advise people to avoid it because many people do not do well with it & don't even realize it. As far as protein, we get all the protein we need from eating a wide range of fruits & greens in our diet. Do you use Cron-o-meter?
Well it also depends on the quality of the ingredients. I've made this with mediocre tomatoes & a not so great red bell pepper, & it was not nearly as good as when I have vine ripened summer tomatoes & a super sweet pepper. My dad, who was raised on traditional italian food, loves this recipe. However, I don't expect everyone to. My apologies. I do hope you come across a raw sauce you like because eating raw zucchini pasta is so good!
@xsliceofheavenx Great to hear! I agree about dates...they are like rich caramels. So Yummy! I sometimes eat 20 or 30 dates a day and don't have any weight issues. I know others who eat a lot more than that and are still skinny, so I don't think you need to worry eating 7. :0)
+Neeraja Jayaraman It's not ideal. If you have strong digestion and add one or two small dates, you won't notice a big issue. If you have sensitive digestion, it's likely to make you bloated and give you gas. These days I prefer to use a sweeter sub-acid fruit like mango, peaches, nectarines or even a sweeter apple like a fuji to sweeten the sauce. You could also add some raw coconut sugar instead.
@MADKILL4 Begin by adding more raw fruits & vegetables into your current diet. Have fruit, or a fruit smoothie, for breakfast & have fruit for snacks in between meals. Add a large green salad for dinner and maybe try some of the raw recipes that look good to you once or twice a week. As time goes by, try having a raw day and go from there. Just adding more raw fruits and veggies to your diet will help you feel much better. Try limiting your fat intake too. That should help a lot. :0)
Focus on consuming higher calorie fruits like bananas, dates, persimmons, cherimoya, figs, sapote, grapes, etc. Sweet, tropical and sub tropical fruits are usually higher in calories.
@0987654321libra I'm pretty much stuck with it, as most homes come with a stove. However, in my newer videos, you'll notice I've covered it with a cutting board for extra counter space and I've always used the oven as storage. :o)
I made the recipe. No disrespect but it tasted anything but amazing. I am guessing only raw vegans will appreciate this recipe. You need garlic and onion to make it taste somewhat edible or else the taste is very bland
@0987654321libra Not really. Knowing how tired, sick and bloated it makes me feel after eating it, pretty much removes all desire. Plus, so many of the health issues I had that have vanished from eating this way, would end up returning and I definitely don't want that.
@stevenabb This coming from a guy who's too much of a coward to post his own videos and put up a picture of himself. Instead of criticizing me, maybe you should look at yourself and ask what's going on inside you, that you feel it necessary to leave negative comments on everyone's videos.
Thank you so much from posting this! I am a new 811 LFRV and you have saved me from my "same salad every night" problem. As long as your sundrieds are organic there's no reason to throw out the soak water, it adds to the sauce if you use it to blend.
No garlic and it tastes amazing! Even my dad, who grew up in an Italian family eating loads of fresh Italian food, loves this sauce. :0)
@LindseyAnnC Yes, mostly fruit and some greens and that's it. I drink only filtered water and on occasion fresh young thai coconut water. My husband eats 95% raw. The only thing he eats that's cooked is broccoli and vegan, whole wheat crackers.

That sweater is plain awesome.
amazing video thanks for the tips. It's great to see people eating healthy!
i love raw marinara sauces =) looks delicious and creamy !!
You can also strain off some of the liquid through a fine strainer or cheesecloth. Then drink the juice and use the nice thick sauce over your noodles :)

hi! I made this recipe last night, and let me tell you it was the YUMMIEST raw food recipe I've ever done!!! Amazing!! Thank you for sharing!!
Awesome! I'm so glad you tried this. It's my favorite.
Thanks so much for watching and leaving your wonderful feedback. :o)
Yes, yes my mouth is water, look so good I can't wait to try it.
@ndufcat Thank you for very much for your insightful comments. I agree with you...I don't understand why the naysayers watch. Seems pretty silly. I'm happy you posted!
So happy to hear this! Thank YOU!

@JaysRunner Awesome! Always so great to hear from you. Big hugs to you!!!!
Thank u so much for this recipe...just did it today and can't believe how amazing it tastes!!
You're welcome. Glad you liked it. Thank you! :o)
Hello! Are there any alternatives to the soaked dry tomatoes? I only found sun dried tomatoes in bottles with olive oil at the store :(
She also said Another comment that you can use just dates instead of sun dried tomatoes. Maybe throw in a few extra dates.

@MrViolentlyHappy Thank you so much! So happy you like it. :0)
@alvahurley1
Yes, it's called the Titan peeler. There are two different kinds and they both work great.
I just tried making this, it's DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing :)

@rccoti1453 I will do my best. So glad you enjoyed!
@msalicia I'm not sure exactly what variety they are but they're super sweet & salty and they don't get very big.
I did. This is an old video. Glad you like the recipe. :0)
Very good recipe. Thanks!
thanking you for your great videos iv learnt soo much thanx
Looks delicious! Will be trying it soon, for sure! Thanks for sharing :)
Excellent! I'm glad you liked it. That's the great thing about raw recipes, they're so easy to modify, to make them your own. :o)
DELICIOUS sauce. Tfs!
@vdb129 Thank you very much for your kind words. I was really skinny when I made this video...my weight has balanced out very nicely since then. Good idea on waiting to see if you like it before you buy any gadgets. :0)

hi, if i make this sauce in a big batch how long can i keep it in the fridge for? thanks for sharing.
You're welcome.
Probably about 4 days.
where do you get dates?
I buy them from the Bautista family in California. www.7hotdates.com
rawsynergytv hah! for a second I thought what an inappropriate question! :P
@surfer53 Avocados, they cure impotence too ;)
is it ok to combine dates with tomatoes as in a sweet fruit with a non-sweet fruit? Could you please clarify? Thanks!

How to I get my calories in when eating raw seems to me like everything low calorie
Focus on consuming higher calorie fruits like bananas, dates, persimmons, cherimoya, figs, sapote, grapes, etc. Sweet, tropical and sub tropical fruits are usually higher in calories.
OMG you are amazing.... stunning..... beautiful..... oh yeah the zucchini was good as well...
@0987654321libra I'm pretty much stuck with it, as most homes come with a stove. However, in my newer videos, you'll notice I've covered it with a cutting board for extra counter space and I've always used the oven as storage. :o)
Hey I just started on this raw food diet thing as a cleanse, and I'm wondering how you get testosterone into your diet without meat?
Si
I made the recipe. No disrespect but it tasted anything but amazing. I am guessing only raw vegans will appreciate this recipe. You need garlic and onion to make it taste somewhat edible or else the taste is very bland

u r amazingly gorgeous! so is your pasta :) haha x
@stevenabb wow. she's beautiful. what in the world are you talking about? she's right, put up a pic of yourself and then talk.
why do you have so much self hate bro? I'm guessing your animal protein diet plays a part in that
