kayla should do the every room is a different build challenge challenge. spin for a build challenge first, ie. every room is a different colour, random size, random pack etc, and then spin for that challenge. for example, for the kitchen you might roll the random pack challenge, and roll seasons, and then for the bathroom you might roll the no mistakes challange. if that makes sense, like so kayla can see!
tips for anyone else struggling with the exterior of modern houses! matching the trims to the color of the wallpaper can really help make the clean lines of the house stand out! and it can look even cooler if the house has multiple exterior wallpapers. having a warm toned wood color for the columns and trims on the wooden sections of the house could help make them look more realistic
Please please use up the whole budget when you're doing this challenge! It's more fun when you have to keep cramming in random items to make the Simoleons back to 0. Without it the challenge just feels like "building whatever but some rooms are unfinished".
@@examinestairs712 When I do this challenge, if I have anything under 10 simoleons left, it adds onto the total for the next room. It's not much if you roll a low number, but it's something.

The way this video was completely lawless cracked me up omg 0 consistency with any of the parameters but I love when you aren't too hard on yourself and the way you embraced the bright colours and modern build made me so happy
She ended up with 977 simoleons left total from all the rooms! She got I think 2 rooms that were less then that! She totally could’ve done a bonus room or something with it, but that’s also an Unnecessary amount of work, but I just wanted to write them down, add them up, and tell you, just in case you were curious!

New twist on the random budget challenge : set whatever min/max you want but once you start, every roll amount gets deducted from the max number. So if you start with 10k and roll 1k, the budget for the next roll will be 9k. You have to try and furnish the entire build before you run out of money. Bonus option is to keep track of any money you didn't spend and use that at the end for any last minute additions (no upgrades!) that were forgotten before like a trash can or thermostat but now you have to use every last unspent simoleon!
I love random budget or any random challenges, especially when Simsie does them. On the other side though, Simsie please refrain from negging yourself. You are so good at what you do, you've never created anything "bad" in your RUclips career and I've watched it all!

Simsie saying she's bad at modern houses, but consistently puts out some of the most realistic modern-style builds anywhere on the gallery! Genuinely, one of the houses in our (already modern - built in 2015 - but not *Modern*, modern) street is just finishing off renovating the exterior, and I swear I've downloaded Simsie builds that could have been the blueprint for the changes!! I love that about her modern builds, they're not all Tony Stark's mansion, but fit the aesthetic in a real life way.

Edit: To clear this up (because some people are getting cross in the replies) I’m not talking about it looking like a blue suburban. I love the style Kayla went with, and I love that she branches out and tried new things. I said “Blue Suburban VIBES” because that’s what I associate with Kayla, a cosy, cluttered, friendly feeling house. I also commented this BEFORE I watched past the intro of the video (hence the “what are the odds?”, which suggests not knowing) because a lot of what Kayla builds has a similar feeling to this, which is something she frequently acknowledges and laughs about. In no way did I intend to be mean, harsh, or critical of Kayla or her build style. I’ve been a fan of hers for a very long time, and have been able to watch the growth of the “Blue Suburban” joke, and therefore felt I had enough of a grasp on the situation to make a lighthearted comment on it.

These are my favourite videos of yours but I really don't like when you change the max or minimum that can be generated, it feels a bit cheat-y. At least you're not limiting yourself to only basegame though 😅

Id love to see more subjective build challenges with these! Itlll make you branch out but still have pretty results. Ive seen every room is a different asthetic and every room is a different planet. But for extra chaos every room is a different build challenge

Parents had the teen, prioritized them, and then the kid was born and they had less money, and lastly once the wife got pregnant again they had to sell some of their own stuff fir the nursery, and tge oldest probably has a part time job to help with bills ksks
I like the lore that the parents have spent all the money doing the downstairs and they're slowly working their way upstairs as they save a bit more. Pretty realistic if you ask me 😂
I like the idea that these sims bought a nice bougie house, furnished the whole downstairs starting with the gym, and completely ran out of money once they got to the top floor😂
Kayla this isn't even a budget challenge... It's building whatever I want but some rooms are unfinished. It's fun to fight big budgets to get back to zero. USE THE WHOLE BUDGET!! Still love the house tho.
Love the build and the bedrooms are much more usable this way I think my legacy sims will move in there and ill rework the teen and main bedroom for my two sims
While I was watching this video I was thinking about a video idea. The idea was that you combine some of your challenges, so you could do a budget build, limited packs, single color per room, and no mistakes. It would be a lot to do in one video but I feel like it would be an interesting video to watch, or even a stream.
kayla could post this kind of video everyday for the next week and id still be seated theyre so fun
