Looks pretty deep for a non-stealth focused title, I'm really liking how odyssey has shaped up. I'd prefer the taser (electrical pulse I guess) to knock people out rather than kill them, and crouching to be more suspicious than walking for realism's sake but hey, they've done a great job with it all.
New player here, although I've followed the game for more than 5 years now and I know it's a space sim. But I must say, I love the Odyssey update and its contents you're uploading here. I'm subscribing.
two things I found: if you run out 500 meters you are "outside" the settlement so won't have to worry about aggro or sentries. Also, those skimmers are glass cannons, I accidentally destroyed one that was scanning my ship by nudging it while taking off lol. so ram them if they are bothering you :)
Fun ending with the sentry ship attacking the taxi and mass locking ya as well-- but why did it attack you after you disabled alarms? Does it do a scan and notice stolen stuff on you or something? Or do the aggro'd NPCs at the settlement also alert the flying sentry ship? I may have missed something obvious. I guess in the future if we're ever using Apex taxi to get away from a crime scene, it's better to do a route going to a nearby system so the small Adder isn't masslocked.
I don't know why it attacks, It even attacks if you restored power to the settlement and are just leaving without having bounty. I assume it is linked in some way to the AI on the ground becoming hostile.
@@DrHopeMath Hmm interesting! I wonder if that's intended... it did make your escape exciting but I think I'd rather it only attack if you set the alarms off. But I guess if the NPCs go aggro at the settlement, it stands to reason they radio'd their sentry ships to be aggro too and I can just pretend that's how it works if thisremains the same in the real release of Odyssey. Thanks for all the videos!
"All we need to do is not die"; that's the tricky part for me.

Yes, it seems to work well as long as you crouch.
if u walk u will still not be heard

xD
Went looking for this settlement this morning and it's gone. Checked on Inara and then went to the system. Baffled!

Love the way you think bud. thanks

@@davidchandler5432 That sucks. They really should only attack if the alarm is set off. Or at least there should be an option to disabled any radio.
@@davidchandler5432 but didn't their goldfish memory time out by then? Or do they aggro forever if someone gets killed?
so much lack of immersion ... frrom yr interpretation
