S&S munitions returning as a weapons manufacturer to fill the gap left by COV and also have weapons, melees shields and grenades as options would be great. For the Shields, I can see them as offering a bit of everything(roid, spike, nova and absorb), with uniques being able to hold two and legendaries 3 types of functions.

I believe another reason for S'n'S changing to bandit is as you said they had a distinct yellow paintjob, which would get confusing in B2 with Hyperion making everything in yellow
I would like S&S Munitions to return, Eridian to return, have a new manufacturer with Biopunk/organic firearms, melee, shields and greandes, as well as include Melee weapons, grenades and shields for EVERYONE in BL4, also retcon BL3 into a prophetic vision instead of actually canon.

I hated the reload gimick when I started up Borderlands 2 until I found certain ones like the deliverence, but that was partly because Borderlands 1 had spoiled me on Tediore by repeatedly dropping the uniques that had built in ammo regen almost as frequently as the regular Tediore, and if the only difference is one is giving you ammo back why would you take the normal one?
Imagine this, next game, the bandit manufacturer makes grenades again. Except they are cluster bombs! Aka a larger bomb you can toss/plant with s longer detonation time that will do massive damage! At the cost of all your grenade ammo, doing more damage for each one used
why not a mini nuke type of grenade that has an insane radius and damage but uses all your total grenades each throw and leaves a 2 or 5 second lingering effect that hurts to stand on

S&S in BL1 had more perks than just high capacity. They also have good elemental tech second only to Maliwan, and their weapons tend to have balanced stats. Apart from slow reload (which makes sense since bigger mags are heavier), their only downside is that their machine guns have slow fire rate if they have even-numbered body types (body2 and body4). Fire rates are fine with odd-numbered body types (body3 and body5). Have you ever done an allegiance run? S&S would be really fun as Roland or Mordy. Maybe also Lil, but I think Dahl offers more versatility just due to the Mercenary and Firefly class mods versus Tempest and Plague Bearer. Really just the Merc one, specifically, because it's not elemental-focused. Btw, yes, allegiance runs are fun even in BL1. 11:11 I'm all for the return of S&S as a weapons company! As for my fave, shucks! I have a hat with the Jakobs logo on it (see avatar), but Jake isn't really muh fave. Everyone dunks on Dahl for being ordinary (see also Soldier/Commando mains), but they're one of my most-used brands across all characters in BL1 and 2 (also, I'm usually a Soldier/Commando main). In BL1, they make some of muh faves: Mashers, Stompers, Cobras, Double Anarchies, "spiked" shotguns, and explody sniper rifles. And those are all common-ish weapon types! Their Legendaries aren't all that special. Btw, Lil can override the Stomper's one weakness (slow bullets) with her High Velocity skill.

The lore is a little rough, but I like the idea that bandit guns ARE S&S. HC magazines are incredibly complex, I doubt bandits could figure it out. They just butchered all the S&S weapons!
It's one thaught for sure. The fun thing with alot of this untapped lore is that headcannon can basically rein supreme until it's either confirmed or denied by the writers
No love for the Chadd, also known as the poor man's infinity? I get it's only a blue, but it's still pretty sweet, and can generate with the Never Ending affix turning its already high heat limit to an endless stream of low-damage high-fire-rate shots
I've been wanting a borderlands game with weapon dismantling. Maybe a V.H. skill tree to pull out interesting parts with low percentage chances on legendaries, until you put some points into a skill to nearly 100% pull the infinity barrel off while attaching it to a masher. Maybe recoil penalties. I could go on for hours but I've been up all night already.
I wish they bought S&S back And make their gimmick that they Reload automatically when not being used So you could empty them, swap to another weapon, empty that one, return to the first and never need to actually reload
S&S was my favorite manufacturer in BL1. They had a really sleek look to them, and the yellow on black tint was excellent. Hated the Bandit weapons, and my friends always told me that they were the same as S&S.
Only thing I gotta say is the teeth of terras only redeeming quality is that it gets the same glitch that the pimpernel gets when being offhanded by sal with a launcher in your right hand, it'll take the damage from the launcher and put it into the teeths pellets
One of my first legendaries was the Thanatos (BTH i think it was indeed my first). It was the bare bones, run on the mill version, and it spawn with something like a 79 bullet magazine and 8 shots per second, and used it for a long while. Only replaced it around the Old Haven, when facing the Crimson Lance.
I never noticed the increase reload of S&S guns in Borderlands 1. They were so useful as just general loot, I rarely even was looking at uniques/legendaries beyond the point I picked them up as part a quest like T.K. Baha's Wave or the Tediors that had Ammo Regen built in, because of how reliable S&S was and if I needed something with a little more oomph I was hunting for Jackobs as an option to switch out on my loadout especially for an explosive sniper.
Even Gemini isn't that bad as people think. It's just weird horizontal patern. It's 4 bullets for 2 ammo. The patern makes it into weird ass shotgun. It's like Black Snake from TPS, but with actual damage behind it. Also S&S has higher tech level, aka the Elemental boost. S&S is competetion to Maliwan, Believe it or not... And if we count in cut unfinished Rainmaker grenade launcher , S&S wouldn't be Top manufacture (because even Maliwan isn't best. Hellfire beats Volcano & Firehawk, Defiler beats Plague) Then let's check BL2 Bandit. No elemental bonuses, low acuraccy, long reaload and mid damage. They have worst E-techs. No legendary nade, no legendary shield in WP (it was Bigg Thumpr, with the unpatched Roid of 5mil on lvl50). Besides Tattler, Slagga, Badaboom, Sawbar, Jolly Roger And Sky Rocket.You don't really see people using it. Scav. Bandit in Space. It got even worse, Badaboom is only thing that stayed the same. No legendary Smg, still no nade. Sledge's shooty was suppose to Mimic BL1 sledge's with it's 11x projectiles and locked to melee accesory. Zim, better Gub, but there are better cryo items. Two shields that got "balanced". And if you check Things, it has same stats as Badaboom if it had 1x projectile. Cov, even with it's Fun. It's mess, reload speed affects repair speed, while magazine size affects mag size, that's calculated outside heat reduction. Rifles and pistols do basicaly act the same and Launchers were chaotic mess. They do have good legendaries thou... Because BL3 has a lot of options anyway. Sawbar, NoPewPew, Gargoyle, Hydrafrost, Tizzy, Globtrottr, Yellow Cake, Rebound. I want new S&S.... That's my point😂

My idea for ne S&S would be multi barrel weapons with reverse overheat mechanic (COV but reversed), where with more heat the less ammo you consume. Plus there would be like "heat stages" or gears where legendaries and uniques had extra effects along less ammo consumption
@@kvetoslavzeleny1764 well, S&S Munitions had high capacity, high fire rate and high accuracy, so something like the Heat mechanic that gives beneficial effects on normal and unique/legendary/pearl weapons would be good. As in, the Overheat mechanic would encourage you to do short controlled bursts, but the effects of the gun are better. Let's say Overheat can allow better guarantee of elemental effects, plus less ammo per shot(if gun has 5 ammo for 10 pellet shot, in the 75% and up we get 1 ammo for 10 pellet shot) and depending on the special Overheat effect, even ammo regen or explosive shot or more. Stuff like this would work.
@@drivanradosivic1357 I had the idea, if new Bandit is big mags again. Not consume ammo seems like more advance version of that. So that's why I think S&S would be that manufacture with that. And unlike COV you would like to have heat on max, because that would cause the less ammo cost per shot

You know, I can imagine those gadgets that Ellie was forced to drop from the ship in BL3, due to Clap-Trap's own incompetence, could end up being a set-up for S&S to return as a gun manufacturer in a later game. I mean, considering how Atlas was brought back from the dead, thanks to Rhys in Tales from the Borderlands, I wouldn't be surprised ifthis gave some more ambitious members of S&S an idea, to basically find a niche that they could use as their ticket back into the weaponsmithing game. With a bunch of escapades leading to them finding what remains of Ellie's work, which could end up being reverse-engineered and adapted to their liking.

@@Cashew1405 technically no, from what I remember you can’t get a vertical grip on the sledges in the presquel. The vertical grip actual makes a substantial difference and is why it works better in borderlands 2.
I think it would be really funny if, considering S&S makes the weapon lights, they were brought back as a gun manufacturer that only has orange drops but most of them are fake legendaries.
The Gub actually has a hidden stat. If you see one, you get cursed. That's now your only world drop legendary, and that stat is tied to your _soul_ so reinstalling the game doesn't help.
I'm kinda glad you gave S&S the props they deserve. Like YES, they did have bigger mags. But they're genuinely like the best guns all around. And unlike Atlus (which was supposed to "Ultimate manufacturer" but never dropped more then a white for me). It's honestly annoying the later games just reduced them to "Hurr hurr, the big mag brand". And the lore they weren't out competiting the rest being why they folded is such trash. They'd give you pretty good Accuracy (to the point I didn't even know that was supposed to be Hyperion's Gimmick outside of Marcus), tech Proc on par with Maliwan, while couldn't do Jakobs damage numbers, you weren't waiting for it to cycle at least.
Another good CoV AR is the NoPewPew. It's effectively an automatic minigun/shotgun hybrid that makes enemies explode on kill. THAT THING IS NUTS. Also, why the hell are all of CoV's Legendary ARs fire elemental? You ever noticed that trend? It's weird.

COV are mechanically the most fun iteration imo but I think they are visually the worst because they are so visually overloaded that they all look identical
All the weapons look the same in BL1 bc Atlas made the parts. S&S made the ammo. When S&S made their own guns with Atlas parts all the gun companies cut them out. Torgue made its own rocket ammo, Maliwan made energy ammunition, Hyperion uses dimension compressed ammo after S&S collapsed economically and was acquired by Hyperion.

Me and me brother both had characters in bl 1 with s and g as the first and last name so we joked our characters ran s&s even starting a RUclips channel with the name S&S quests and we had the reason behind the loss of the company being that Hyperion starting killing the competition so we dropped our banners that's when the bandits stole the factory's and supply's and started refurbishing s&s munitions into bandit tek
Well, your not going to have one in normal mode since Terra is lvl 50 in both Normal and True modes. Never tried it on true but have in vanilla uvhm and it still sucked there
Let's meet in the middle and have an unusually enterprising bandit take and reform S&S after the accessory business falls into hard times, mash together parts from BL 1-3 and call it S&Ƨ.
I want S&S to return as a real manufacturer, but I know it's unlikely. Most likely, we're getting Crimson Raiders as a manufacturer, with them most likely being COV with a higher apparent production value despite identical performance. However, if S&S does make a comeback, I want them to specialise in Energy Weapons.
0 mention of the Party Popper from TPS, now I'm sad. Lol jk, well kinda, Ik Jack kinda makes every gun in that game look good but I can't help it. Sometimes I just love to equip the Party Popper and run around blasting Cryo boosted (thanks to Jack's skill Sponsored by and using a Cryo element Maliwan) confetti on everyone lol. Like a weird, pistol, shotgun kinda hybrid thingy (pun intended). Surprisingly alright gun despite the weird projectile pattern.
Cool fun fact: Some parts of COV weapons are actually parts of other guns from Bl2

My idea for ne S&S would be multi barrel weapons with reverse overheat mechanic (COV but reversed), where with more heat the less ammo you consume. Plus there would be like "heat stages" or gears where legendaries and uniques had extra effects along less ammo consumption
@@kvetoslavzeleny1764 well, S&S Munitions had high capacity, high fire rate and high accuracy, so something like the Heat mechanic that gives beneficial effects on normal and unique/legendary/pearl weapons would be good. As in, the Overheat mechanic would encourage you to do short controlled bursts, but the effects of the gun are better. Let's say Overheat can allow better guarantee of elemental effects, plus less ammo per shot(if gun has 5 ammo for 10 pellet shot, in the 75% and up we get 1 ammo for 10 pellet shot) and depending on the special Overheat effect, even ammo regen or explosive shot or more. Stuff like this would work.
@@drivanradosivic1357 I had the idea, if new Bandit is big mags again. Not consume ammo seems like more advance version of that. So that's why I think S&S would be that manufacture with that. And unlike COV you would like to have heat on max, because that would cause the less ammo cost per shot

You know, I can imagine those gadgets that Ellie was forced to drop from the ship in BL3, due to Clap-Trap's own incompetence, could end up being a set-up for S&S to return as a gun manufacturer in a later game.
I mean, considering how Atlas was brought back from the dead, thanks to Rhys in Tales from the Borderlands, I wouldn't be surprised ifthis gave some more ambitious members of S&S an idea, to basically find a niche that they could use as their ticket back into the weaponsmithing game.
With a bunch of escapades leading to them finding what remains of Ellie's work, which could end up being reverse-engineered and adapted to their liking.

@@Cashew1405 technically no, from what I remember you can’t get a vertical grip on the sledges in the presquel. The vertical grip actual makes a substantial difference and is why it works better in borderlands 2.

If you see one, you get cursed. That's now your only world drop legendary, and that stat is tied to your _soul_ so reinstalling the game doesn't help.
I'm kinda glad you gave S&S the props they deserve. Like YES, they did have bigger mags. But they're genuinely like the best guns all around. And unlike Atlus (which was supposed to "Ultimate manufacturer" but never dropped more then a white for me). It's honestly annoying the later games just reduced them to "Hurr hurr, the big mag brand". And the lore they weren't out competiting the rest being why they folded is such trash. They'd give you pretty good Accuracy (to the point I didn't even know that was supposed to be Hyperion's Gimmick outside of Marcus), tech Proc on par with Maliwan, while couldn't do Jakobs damage numbers, you weren't waiting for it to cycle at least.

Bandit shotguns arent usually too bad when youre leveling. They are great for zero who can make great effect of their high damage with deception.
Another good CoV AR is the NoPewPew. It's effectively an automatic minigun/shotgun hybrid that makes enemies explode on kill. THAT THING IS NUTS.
Also, why the hell are all of CoV's Legendary ARs fire elemental? You ever noticed that trend? It's weird.
Considering how much they use fire for decoration, I feel like the legendary COV guns all being fire was intentional, at least from a lore standpoint.

S&s we're built different. They were mostly usable when you got them and could compete on damage normally. I hardly ever used bandit and cov ever

All the weapons look the same in BL1 bc Atlas made the parts. S&S made the ammo. When S&S made their own guns with Atlas parts all the gun companies cut them out. Torgue made its own rocket ammo, Maliwan made energy ammunition, Hyperion uses dimension compressed ammo after S&S collapsed economically and was acquired by Hyperion.
I honestly really liked SnS guns in BL1, i miss them. Bandit/Scav/CoC are okay, but i never really used them.
Some trivia about S&S munitions, they're the guys who makes all the loot beams in the games

I want S&S to return as a real manufacturer, but I know it's unlikely. Most likely, we're getting Crimson Raiders as a manufacturer, with them most likely being COV with a higher apparent production value despite identical performance.
However, if S&S does make a comeback, I want them to specialise in Energy Weapons.

Sometimes I just love to equip the Party Popper and run around blasting Cryo boosted (thanks to Jack's skill Sponsored by and using a Cryo element Maliwan) confetti on everyone lol. Like a weird, pistol, shotgun kinda hybrid thingy (pun intended). Surprisingly alright gun despite the weird projectile pattern.
