Great to see Brasted, where many years ago I was a lodger at Brasted Place. If my memory is right, the White Hart pub next door had a board up with signatures of WW2 pilot 5:20 😅s included Sir Douglas Badger. Thanks for showing Brasted. Brilliant

If memory serves like yourself, the White Hart was a regular Drinking place for WW2 Servicemen and Women from nearby Biggin Hill Airfield.

My Dad would drive us through Brasted on his way to Hythe to see his siblings when I was a child in the 1960's/1970's. I haven't been that way for years

Another great video Marq, living in Biggin, I travel through Brasted all the time, never really got out and wandered around though... I must do that!
The white Hart did have (it may still have) a blackboard with signatures from pilots of RAF Biggin Hill during WW2. It was preserved and was on display in there last time I went in. The White Hart pub became the unofficial HQ for the pilots (more likey to get a pint away from the airfield).

What??? No pub lunch footage?!?! It's an outrage! Now I don't know what to have for lunch without Marq's inspiration. :D

The Pub Lunch was on a previous Vlog from Knole House as it was on the same day.

@@MarqEnglish Oh no, sir. 2 videos should equal 2 pub lunches, certainly. 2 glasses of wine at the very least. :D

Very enjoyable, Marq - I’ve only ever driven through the village. I had to look up where the church was on a map, it’s tucked away a little to the north, like the one at nutfield, further west.

I must explore that Church in Nutfield soon, it's on the List.

Interesting to see Brasted as I knew someone who came from there. Her mother's first husband got killed at biggin hill during the war. I wondered what Brasted looked like. Thank you.

Thanks for the info Mark. My friend the other day pointed out about the WW2 Pilots at The White Hart as well. I wish I'd known that while I was there.
