    Thank you for your content and am sure changing the lives of so many of us!
    I have been binge watching your videos and I am sure in one of them you explain why it is not a good idea to have breakfast and that the idea that breakfast is the most important meal of the day is a marketing ploy.
    For me no breakfast works well and about 30 minutes before my first meal of the day, I like to prepare my body with a glass of soaked chia seeds.

    Making your bed in the morning is a good idea. I dont' do this but I do do something else. I often do the dishes right when I wake up. It gets your blood going and you feel like you already have an accomplishment before breakfast. A good start to the day.

    The ADHD Version:
    Wake up and play on your phone in bed until you are going to be very late.
    Daydream at the worst times, and let time get away from you.
    Rush around in a frantic panic catching up on something that had a deadline or is going to cost you dearly.
    Forget to eat, then guzzle Starbucks and candy bars to boost low dopamine and norepinephrine.
    Go to bed and experience the wonder of ADHD insomnia and inability to shut down the brain for sleep. Sleep at work instead.
    Try to read the same paragraph over and over as every little noise, light, weird thought or something else gets your attention.
    Stumble around through your day because you forgot half of your necessary items, don't know what needs to be done today, do the wrong things at the wrong time, and forget the important stuff.
    Worry about the work you missed after work, about how your coworkers think of you, your mean boss and the bullies.
    Throw on the least smelly clothes, spin your oily hair into a messy top knot and hope no one notices you all day. Constantly smell your body.
    Change the sheets on the bed every six months, if you ever remember. Always sleep in a rumpled lumpy bed and make sure you have too many blankets in summer and sweat, or not enough in winter and freeze.

    🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I am replacing weight lifting with stretching, flexibility exercises, isometrics and riding my new recumbent stationary bike. Also I am going to remake my bed!

    Okay so seriously, how long should your morning routine be if you got to get to work? If you took only 5 minutes to do all of these (not using phone is 0 minutes, but making and eating breakfast only 5 minutes) that's a 50 minute routine. I work long hours and don't have time for more that an hour and some people have kids or pets that need care before they leave the house! And don't forget the bathroom routine takes time to!

    You left out one that could literally put you into the hospital - HYDRATE! I had the scare of severe dehydration several days ago. All of sudden I got so dizzy just sitting in a chair! I thought I was experiencing another pulmonary embolism! It has made realize how important drinking at least 90-100 ozs of water daily is! I have fully recovered!

    I hate when people say this. Sounds good at first, but think about it. The dead skin that fell off your body and (fill in the blank) would get a nice, dark and warm protected environment thanks to the made bed instead of nasty fresh air and bright sunlight. Like using the same pair of underwear without washing it. This idea wins the battle but loses the war.

    I love Alux but I disagree with this this list. Very simply to have the most productive morning do the following
    1. Plan you day the night below with time blocking exactly what you need to do in the morning. For example rather than just say, go to the library and study. State from 9AM to 11AM, study practice test questions #1 to #7. Keep your plan very time and action specific.
    2. Get a good night sleep so you have energy to wake up.
    3. Have some larger goal or motivation on what you are trying to achieve.
    The other recommended actions to have a productive morning are not necessary and will actually slow you down, of meditating, have a good breakfast, overdress, exercise, read and others.

    Meditation is also like sitting alone and saying prayer. Some ppl can’t grasp the concept, yet when you explain prayer, they are all on onboard. For me, if I am better, the universe is better. If the universe is better, I am definitely better!

    I already disagree. 1st one. Dont look at your phone???? So first thing is the bus canceled, school closed, does my kid need a toy for indoor recess (weather check). I mean if i cant get my 7 yr old out the door its gonna greatly change my whole day. These details r needed

      I think what they mean is *actively* *engaging* with your phone in a mindless or potentially negative way, i.e. scrolling social media, doom scrolling, TikTok, etc.
      For example, when I wake up, the first thing I do is turn off the alarm (on my phone) and then put on a meditation (on my phone), but I am not actively engaging with the phone/texts/social media, etc. Checking the weather would fall under this category as well.
      What they are getting at is to let your mind “breathe” and set the day with good intentions, and not waste your precious early morning energy on things that don’t directly serve your best interests.

    I normally agree to most of the advice, but breakfast is unnecessary in starting your day with energy. Water yes. Maybe some fruits, but thats it.
