Great work. Future reference though when sending a metal finder use a 320 to 400 grit before priming. If you use anything over a 400 grit primer will have trouble sticking.
scoot thanks for showing me how to sand my car down it been painted 3 times iv had my mustang over 40 years now im going to try to sand it my self a friend said to us 320 sand paper and no way its to hard it a take to long, i went on line to look at some videos and i found yours the best way i want to use boy that 100 first sand paper wow came of faster now my arm wont fall off thanks for your great sanding part -1 ill be looking fr part -2 to show me to put paint on thanks again benny

You won’t have trouble sticking over 400- can go up to 800, doing it for years ……. O cone backs

Do you wanna sand down to the primer or just sand the clear coat off?
It depends on the condition of the paint. If it isn't chipped/flaking off and looks to be a good base, don't worry about taking it down to the primer.
