I wonder how the use of GenAI by internal BA (on companies’ payroll) might impact and reshape BA consulting. If we agree that GenAI can enhance the analyst and make them more productive, to what extent could this reduce a company’s need to source external analysts? Or how might it impact companies’ expectations about the time needed to deliver analysis results?

Excellent question Samuel. Perhaps in that situation, external BA support may be introduced to bring a different perspective, experience or skillset from the outside that can aid the organisation as well as existing internal BA community and jointly (with the internal BA) deliver more.
