I am a 71 year old Marine and former Deputy Sheriff (carried a 357), for me, my three are CZ P-09 C, FNX 9, FNS 9, alternatives: FNX 45, IWI Jericho, but also realistically whatever of my guns are close at hand when I need one. Love the video and the salvation messages at the end.
I own several Cz's P07, P10, PCR, CZ75 B with Omega trigger, and a CZ75 compact, and a CZ p-01, all problem free, the P-01 has had thousands of rounds and is as good as day one. The one thing to be aware of is dry firing the 75's, P-01, the 75 compact and the PCR can damage the firing pin roll pin, so snap caps can help alleviate that.
My 3 are BCM CHF 11.5 BUILD, BARETTA ULTIMA PATROL SEMI AUTO 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN, M&P 2.0 CARRY COMP W/ TYRANT CNC +5 BASEPADS 😎 For a budget person id recommend Glock 19x it comes with marine cups out the box and 2 19 rnd mags, M&P SPORT 3 AR15 or PSA AR, MOSSBERG MAVERICK 12 GAUGE PUMP
For SHTF, you’ll likely have a bag or two on you (backpack and Fanny pack perhaps) and so you don’t really want a long gun slung over you if you don’t have to, so I’d go with Remington 870 in hand, takedown 10/22, and then a Beretta 92G on the hip or possibly a .327 Fed revolver. If you don’t mind lugging around a second long gun, I’d trade the 10/22 out for an AK-47 platform rifle.
Capacity for a CHTF gun is my only hang up when picking a 45 caliber when you got the G20 sitting out there with more capacity. Recoil is a real issue to contend with as well. Especially on long range shots. Technology has 9mm at such a sweet spot for me that I just couldn’t pull myself to pick any of my 45’s for your scenario. Funny thing is that my G30S is my daily carry tho 😂
Have you ever shot a beretta px4 storm? The carry ones with the sniper gray slide are so tempting but nobody has them to rent so I just stick to my CZ p07. I also like the HKp30 but again never shot one.

I’m torn b/w my G45 Gunsite model or my Walther PDP Pro Compact SD….why, I trust them wholeheartedly…and I wouldn’t be bent out of shape with my M&P Carry Comp polymer version…P10 series is right there as well

Great choices, only issues I have with Cz it’s not very serviceable platform ( parts replacement, difficulty in serving ) I have a p10f and it’s very accurate and round count is great . I love the simplicity of Glock and have parts on hand ( two of everything in my parts box lol) I’m not fan boy of any platform. I just enjoy shooting accurate and reliable guns . I bet Gene I most likely have in my safe every gun you have lol , but I like to think everything I have is serviceable if anything breaks that’s key to me specifically if shit hits the fan . K

@@GSquaredTactical I just used one Cz example I have 18 , but they are not in my go to war category ! I’ve had issues with each and everyone one of them , and no parts are not readily available. And if you have ever had a sear cage apart on rami or Cz 75 or Shadow series they are hell and I am a skilled gun mechanic but my wife is better lol . My liberty safes are full of broken customers Cz pistol’s waiting for parts . But keep in mind all platforms break, getting the parts are key . Most people buy a gun and have no idea how to take a slide apart Glock Cz 1911 etc or trigger groups that’s when they come to us . I try to educate and pass on my knowledge. K

Most of the guns that cross my bench have never had the striker or fire pin channel swabbed out Glock CZ 1911s , light primer strikes ya sure or no bang at all . Another one steel case ammunition and extractor failure (claw broken off ) unbelievable, touching all platforms and brands . Please people if you’re not going shoot brass , shoot aluminum case it softer . So be it . K

Being an old fart too..I think I'd go with the Glock21 with the Ruger LC Carbine in 45ACP... and as an added bonus, the magazines are interchangeable

The Rami is the only CZ I’ve ever sold. I’ve been fortunate so far never have had a CZ break
