I think this guide is great, especially on the steps to disable "vsync" and to disable "Depth of Field + Motion Blur". Moreover, to improve the performance much more on a lower-end machine, you can enable the "480p Mode" patch, which will tell the game to render at lower resolution (by default the game is rendered at 720p). This improves the game's frame rate substantially. However, "480p Mode" patch alone isn't great, as icons and texts will be rendered in lower resolution, making them hard to see/read. In this case, we can tell the Xenia-canary emulator to upscale the resolution in file "xenia-canary.config.toml". draw_resolution_scale_x = 2 draw_resolution_scale_y = 2 Now the game will look good with great frame rates. :) With "480p mode", we don't have to apply the patches for disabling grass/shadow, as for my opinion, it will make the in-game experience to looks empty. As a downside of this resolution upscaling, when it is raining, the rain drop won't be visible. But for me, that is fine, as I don't really care much about that.

Just beat the game with no real problems on an rtx 3060ti and Ryzen 5 5600x. Framerates probably averaged around 45fps (25-35 in towns, 45-60 out of towns). Only problems were sometimes save slot 1 would get corrupted and you'd be fine as long as you loaded another one or autosave, and the other being some very minor graphical glitches. Very playable!
I dont have an Xbox nor RDR1 for the Xbox. I used to play on PS Plus on my PS4, but RDR1 gets removed from PS Plus on October 17th (2022), so now I'm trying this. Is this illegal? Btw, when I play, It says I need to sign in. What do I sign in to? It says I won't be able to save my game.

Did you open the right patch file for the version of the game you have? There are 3 files, Original, Original TU9 and GOTY. If you're unsure change every one of them
Am I supposed to download the experimental builds? Its the latest of those builds but in red dead it gives me weird flickering in loading and pause screens along with worse performance than the master build.

but don't worry too much. I've been using a workaround to limit the framerate of the emulator to 20 fps with the Nvidia Control Panel so the frames don't drop that bad.

You can use DVD1 only as it is the main game (Disc 2 is Undead Nightmare) and you should be able to run the game just fine with those specs. Sub to the channel if you like it.
no. my son was playing with a gtx 980 and 2600x, barely saw 20 fps, most of the time in the teens. a 1080ti dips under 30. best played with vsync on. and a 2080ti still dips under 30. but the best experience I've had with it was those cards, if not the console

For the GOTY edition, Disc 1 is main game and Disc 2 is Undead Nightmare. You can increase the resolution to either 2k or 4k by changing the resolution scale in the config file to 2 or 3.
@@KimiSha Hello. Also recently tried to run RDR1 (RedDeadRedemption.Game.of.the.Year.Edition.2011.Xbox360) through the Xenia emulator. In fact, you can configure the config so that the image is not 720p. There is an option to set 2k / 4k, but even on i9 9900k + RTX3070 + 32Gb RAM, the video card does not pull out the 2k resolution stably. I don't understand why it was impossible to give the opportunity to expose FullHD for the game ..
@@KimiSha man it is still low. Same thing happened with Dodi repack. Sometimes during cutscenes the video would lag for seconds while the audio was still going on. It is an amazing game and I don't want to ruin my experience with it. I guess I will have to rent a PS3 or XBOX 360 for it. Nice video and proper explanation though.
@@arthurmorgan276 you should try turning vsync off and applying some patches such as removing motion blur, shadows and tress,foliage (your choice which aforementioned patch to use)

Did you open the right patch file for the version of the game you have? There are 3 files, Original, Original TU9 and GOTY. If you're unsure change every one of them

You need to put the patches folder in the documents/xenia folder. Don't know why that was changed.

Hey bro. Xenia or ps3 emulator always use my integrated card instead of dedicated. Do you know a fix maybe?
You could try disabling the integrated card in device manager if you're not using it, though i can't guarantee it will work
Open the nvida control panel and manually add the emulator in it. I did the same

@@KimiSha Hello. Also recently tried to run RDR1 (RedDeadRedemption.Game.of.the.Year.Edition.2011.Xbox360) through the Xenia emulator. In fact, you can configure the config so that the image is not 720p. There is an option to set 2k / 4k, but even on i9 9900k + RTX3070 + 32Gb RAM, the video card does not pull out the 2k resolution stably. I don't understand why it was impossible to give the opportunity to expose FullHD for the game ..

I downloaded it from Dodi and it was a very laggy game ruining the experience.

@@arthurmorgan276 It should run pretty well, 30fps outside of towns and some dips in towns.
@@KimiSha man it is still low. Same thing happened with Dodi repack. Sometimes during cutscenes the video would lag for seconds while the audio was still going on.
It is an amazing game and I don't want to ruin my experience with it. I guess I will have to rent a PS3 or XBOX 360 for it.

@@arthurmorgan276 you should try turning vsync off and applying some patches such as removing motion blur, shadows and tress,foliage (your choice which aforementioned patch to use)
I tired this it i didnet get much more fps how ever i didnet play for long dos this help for anyone and how much more fps will u get ca? Been trying to run this game at 30fps at least
I get ab 17-23 in towns and 32 avarage anywere else
Well, if you want more FPS you need a better PC. Towns really kill performance.
