Miss these first generation freefalls. They were so cool. This one went up the lift so much faster than the other ones. Demon drop at Dorney Park takes like 3 times as long to go up.
I heard that too. I saw a documentary about it, Six Flags has been cursed. I would not go back there. Lightning Loops near the same area a girl died on that ride a few yrs before I ever went there when it was just "Great Adventure". They added Batman the ride and then it was "Six Flags". I'm good on all that at my age, had enough lol
Duh Best I actually believe that, too. Of course, there was the haunted castle fire back in the 80s. But then, the autobahn bumper cars went in its place, along with a pendulum ride. They both had to be shut down due to technical problems. Then, of course, there was Batman and Robin: The Chiller, which closed. And in the dispatch building for that they had an animatronic show for fright fest years ago, but it got retired due to the animatronics always breaking down. Let’s just hope nothing happens with Battle for Metropolis, because the car I was in got stuck and another one almost hit us one time.
Wow. How sad is the haunted castle videos on here??? There's a small documentary about how it was great adventure b4 six flags which I remember but it was owned by casinos in NJ, Atlantic City and the parents of the kids who lost their lives in the haunted castle had to pay to get back in. So sad can't imagine going to a place to have fun and that. Worst nightmare. Stay away from that area! lol I didn't know all the rest of these rides It's been 10 yrs since I went. Nothing seemed to be around there then bam all this stuff that six flags tried to put went wrong. Batman and Robin was a boss of a ride though when you look at it now it looks so dangerous in videos but it looked so new and awesome when it opened.
Duh Best Yeah definitely, it’s sad to think that GA just covered the incident up and pretended like nothing happened. And I’m disappointed about the chiller, since it was removed just a few years before I was old enough to start riding t Six Flags’ bigger coasters. Let’s just hope that whatever they install in that area in the future runs without issue!!
@rushrocks96 I don't know when they took it down... But I think I know why. There was an accident with this girl when she rode the ride well the ride caught to her hair and tore her hair out really her scalp so sad... and that is why they took it out.
I never got bored with this ride! I will miss it and cherise the memories forever!

This was the best Freefall ride out of all of the ones around. It was the only one that had the "buzzer" go off right before you plummeted down

CEDAR POINT IN OHIO has this ride, not this exact one from here but yeah this Freefall ride they have it.
I went on this stuck between 2 maniacs on mescalin.
I wonder where it is now... Its gotta be somewhere. I mean it worked all the time and isn't really that old
