EMT for 30+ years and the damage left behind by a tornado is truly something you cannot easily describe. I worked two tornadoes, and the first one we arrived less than an hour after it had leveled most of the small town. When you are on the ground helping people you can see so much devastation. Videos do not do justice to the aftermath, although the new technology of drone video massively helps show the power of a tornado My grandmother was a survivor of the 1925 tri-state tornado. It’s still on the books as the deadliest outbreak in US history. Tornado was on the ground for over 7 hours and 219 miles My grandmother grew up in a small town called Griffin, which was 100% destroyed. She was riding home from school on the bus, which was picked up and blown into a field. A number of kids were killed that day. I grew up and knew when I stayed with my grandparents, that even a hint of a storm meant going to the storm cellar It is heartbreaking to see the damage from yesterday, and I hope and pray for the folks dealing with this

Praying for yall too to recover best yall can
Prayers for Amory. ❤️
So sad to see my city destroyed. Our home was destroyed but everyone is safe. We will rebuild better that ever. God bless Amory.
Blessings to all involved 🙏
How many tornadoes hit Mississippi last night in Rolling Fork/Silver City, then Armory ? Ryan Hall channel was monitoring it at midnight, then he interjected "another tornado coming in "
He'd been on since about 4:30pm at that point.
I hope the people that were affected by this could all the help that they need.
Condolences to the family of the deceased.
Keeping everyone in my prayers 🙏
I hope they have PEOPLE on the GROUND searching and HELPING them.
theres alot of BIRDS in the SKY flying and AVOIDING them.
The Chasers and Spotters are very good about helping in these efforts. Ryan Hall Y'all is a Meteorologist on RUclips, and he usually sends a Team both for Search and Rescue, and Supplies. Add to that, churches and other volunteers.
This is very devastating for our little town Amory Ms.
Praying for all of you people and your animals so sorry
My heart is overwhelming with sadness and prayers

Ain't Seen Nothing Yet People. Christ is coming back soon now. Get Right With Him , Now ! 🙏🏾🇵🇷👸🏽
This looked like a monster on radar. Glad to see it wasn’t as devastating as first indicated..
Might have to look at the beginning at rolling Rock.. nothing left. By the time it reached amory luckily it began to weaken, but this was the damage at its weakest which says it all
I think those maybe were different tornadoes from the same cell, not one long tracked one. I may be wrong though. Unless you mean the cell weakened
@J Brown think the path the tornado took was 98 miles confirmed by the NWS, but you could he right I'm not gonna presume just wait till any conformation
@@jbrown8746 Yeah, the Amory tornado was a cycle of the same supercell that produced the Rolling Fork tornado
I always find it shocking how a tornado can go through an area just decimating some homes and leaving some untouched. The power of nature is mighty.
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Nahum 1:3 KJV
Oh my gosh . Praying for everyone there
🙏🏾
My hometown God I can’t believe 😢this!!!?
This is absolutely awful, but I'm glad the damage is not as significant as the radar looked. Hoping that there were no fatalities with this one.
In some places, it was as bad as the radar had shown
30 died
@@koviyovas8325😮
This isn’t even half of the damage
@@TheCow-w6d disagree. This storm on radar when it hit Amory looked as well formed and powerful as any we have ever seen. I wasn’t expecting there to be anything left of this part of Amory. The damage is bad but radar indication was much, much worse looking.
🙏🙏 Hope and Healing 🙏 🙏
Prayers for the storm victims..
My condolences to the families of those who loss their lives. Also prayers 🙏❤️ to all. 💔💔🙏🙏
So sad
😲😢 I pray storms this bad not happen at night while we rest 😢
Well this is what you get when you reinstate Jim Crow. Whattttttt!
I'm thinking of these people . May God bless & be with them all
Очень жаль народ страдает, держитесь
Prayers. This is horrible, so many lives will be forever changed.
Moved here in 1968 and lived up street from the Exxon station. Would walk there a lot as teen. Daddy sold house in 2005, Mother passed in next to last day in 1999. I continued to go back to area up until about 10 years ago. I am having trouble recognizing these places.😢
I am so sorry 😢, prayers to all❤
I can't stop crying for these people, Lord bring them ;help and give them comfort
Could we get a video of the Phillips schoolhouse rd area and hatley, ms
Doesn’t look good
Oh my word that is just heart wrenching. And more and more I firmly believe they're targeting these areas for severe weather and that's all I'll say about that!!
Prayers for all 😢 so sorry. By
How Tragic is this act of nature but very sad and my thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost and suffered! God bless
Looks like everyone will be needing new water and sewage pipes now.
My dear lord...pray for them. 🙏
It happened when and which part of US? Prayers to all affected God bless you.
These tornadoes happened last night in Mississippi. This one specifically I think was around 11 central time
Looks like it's time for the government to talk about storm shelters in business and homes. Might ever not be used but a just in case. Like insurance. Never knows about 🌀🌪️🌊🔥 🌨️⛈️🌧️ until it's to late. $50,000 cars are nice to have. But a $10,000 shelter might save you and your family lives. 🙏 For all these families
What did they rate that tornado as
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
🙏🙏🙏
😢 prayers for all involved.
This thing looked very intense on radar, wonder did it weaken before hitting amory cause according to the radar the velocities were as high as ever seen, hopefully all recover
I'm told it was a F4 definitely wasn't expecting all that I'm seeing and have seen I'm happy me and my family survived it with minimum damage but my heart goes out to the family that truly lost everything and loved ones
So sad. Excellent drone footage. Prayers for the people of Mississippi. 🙏
🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭
God give the Fire an EMS wisdom and protection 🚒🙏🚓❤️
Dang, this is truly heartbreaking, prayers to friends and family’s and people who went thought it 🙏
Seems tornado weakened before hitting the town...still bad but was fearing far worse last night with scanner updates
Maybe low end EF-4. Unlike Rolling Fork where the damage was total with ground scouring and granulated debris.
I think it weakened slightly before hitting town. Which is good, because the radar prior looked like it would wipe the earth clean.
Devastating ef3
