After living through the Historical tornado in Kentucky in 2021 I can't begin to tell you how much my heart feels for everyone involved in this. ❤❤❤❤❤

EMT for 30+ years and the damage left behind by a tornado is truly something you cannot easily describe. I worked two tornadoes, and the first one we arrived less than an hour after it had leveled most of the small town. When you are on the ground helping people you can see so much devastation. Videos do not do justice to the aftermath, although the new technology of drone video massively helps show the power of a tornado
My grandmother was a survivor of the 1925 tri-state tornado. It’s still on the books as the deadliest outbreak in US history. Tornado was on the ground for over 7 hours and 219 miles
My grandmother grew up in a small town called Griffin, which was 100% destroyed. She was riding home from school on the bus, which was picked up and blown into a field. A number of kids were killed that day. I grew up and knew when I stayed with my grandparents, that even a hint of a storm meant going to the storm cellar
It is heartbreaking to see the damage from yesterday, and I hope and pray for the folks dealing with this

@@boonedog1457 i understand bad theology very well. His comment is based on misinterpretation of Old Testament theology. The vengeful punishing God who unleashes his wrath through broad sweeping actions with no regard for his creation. This is simply not the Biblical message, but is the theology that angry and disenfranchised folk are drawn to because finally someone (God) is gonna make "them" pay. The idea that God punishes people through natural disaster is an ancient one formed when science was not advanced enough to explain these events and so spiritual meaning was attached because people had no other explaination. Those ideas come from the notion that the gods simply interact with us for their own amusement (ie Greek snc Roman gods for example). This is NOT the Christian gospel. Christian theology presents a God who cares so intimately fof his creation that he became one of us so that he might understand what it is to be human.Just the opposite of a fickle and spiteful god as presented by the original poster.

(Literally: “even the cattle warn us of the coming storm.”) Job 36:31.
“His voice is glorious in the thunder. We cannot comprehend the greatness of his power. For he directs the snow, the showers, and storm to fall upon the earth. Man’s work stops at such a time, so that all men everywhere may recognize his power. The wild animals hide in the rocks or in their dens. From the south comes the rain; from the north, the cold. God blows upon the rivers, and even the widest torrents freeze. He loads the clouds with moisture and they send forth his lightning. The lightning bolts are directed by his hand, and do whatever he commands throughout the earth. He sends the storms as punishment, or, in his lovingkindness, to encourage.” Job 37:5-13.

I live in north central Florida and just over a year ago, I had my little dogs out in the yard and the sky was really dark and a nasty wind kicked out out of nowhere.
Took the dogs back in the house and found out later that a 'small' tornado - an EF-1 had literally formed beneath the radar and had skipped over SR 200, took the roof off the vet I use, then sort of tracked towards my little neighborhood then zig-zagged and took out several huge oak trees, damaged several stables, apartment buildings, as well the roofs and houses in the next neighborhood over from me.
Damage could have been much worse -- Tornadoes can develop just about anywhere and are one of natures most frightening of powers.

I remember Hurricane Rita. It made a jog to the west at landfall and the eye came right over us. I was so naive to the capabilities of storms at the time. It was pitch dark dead of night. I heard the roar, I knew we were in a terrible storm but had no clue. I was not scared or concerned, however, around 3 am I had to put ear plugs in because after HOURS of the howling wind.. I simply could not listen to it any more. When daylight broke, it was THEN that I realized not only what we had endured but mostly what we had SURVIVED. Complete destruction all around us. I was SHOCKED at what I saw all around me. I had no clue it was even possible. Every since, each year I get more frightened than the past year. Shear worry from early spring to late fall. I understand what these people have endured and I cry for and with them. Those that survived, their lives will NEVER be the same......... I know mine has not... I pray for the survivors for peace and not having PTSD after this because I know how it feels. I pray for the injured and the loved ones of those that did not survive this. Within minutes, thousands of lives have been changed forever.

Hope you recover the best way yall can this night I was fortunately not in its path but close enough to where all our phones blared we didn't hear it but I don't remember if there was any thunder but the week after this was the one that could've hit me it jumped us it died a bit before it hit us but was still rotating because the air went still we went into the closet and it rained REAL hard for like a minute then everything got still that morning you could see insulation scattered in places before it did pass over us very loud and long lightning and thunder was heard was creepy and eerie
