Prayoonto Racing brought out the Drive Shaftshop All Motor civic to attempt to break the outlaw all motor record and succeed.
First full pass with Norris Prayoonto piloting the car he ran his first 8 second pass going 8.956 @ 156mph. He then backed it up with a 8.950 and 8.960 at 157mph.
On the last pass of the day he was able to eclipse the previous record of 8.94 by running 8.923 @ 157.93 to reclaim the top spot

It is insanely fast. I don't know much about Honda motors, but must be running methanol or something crazy. First thing I would imagine is that it has as much money in it as much as a new Nissan GTR, and it ain't even street legal. How on earth was that motor configured? It was probably pushing 11.5k rpms easily.

550 HP is all you need and maybe AWD and this class at that 1.4 mile has got to be the most respected class for this type of car setup. I am so excited to see that the Honda have come a long long way.

@@cyriously_nick2191 Phong's car IS fast for a N/A car. 340whp is still a big number and that's at 5,000 ft elevation. It's crazy knowing there is a 210hp difference between the two cars.

@@cyriously_nick2191 Yep they changed fuel and put it on the dyno again and it put down 340. He must have some cool ideas in his brain. That dry ice intake box was a cool invention. I would love to see it ran closer to sea level on a nice day.

The class this Honda is legal to make a run at highly depends on what fuel is being used. What fuel is being used and what class record are they after
The class they run is nitro all motor / nitro vs the world and then at world cup is true street. This car has been since been 8.51 @ 168mph, and class record is 8.38 @ 168

That's insane, I'd like to see what itll do if they made it AWD. We've seen AWD turbo K series in a hatch. Would be interesting to see what a NA AWD Kseries would do.
It would be much slower than the fwd version. The N/A Honda's don't make a whole bunch of torque so traction isn't a big issue I mean they still have to fight traction but not nearly as much as turbocharged cars which make 4x the torque so that's where AWD helps
Awd allmotor is too heavy it would be a waste of money and time it doesnt have the mph for it and too many moving parts for awd

sam they are called lean mounts. Gives the throttle bodies the right angle for incoming velocity and clears room on the backside for all sorts of cool header and turbo manifold choices. Also gives better axle geometry
