Thank you, in the middle of having large entry way painted in a 200 year old house. This confirmed that I will have the painters use Pearl finish on the wood work and crown mouldings to minimize imperfections.
Excellent video. Thank you very much. I’ve been using Benjamin Moore products for quite a while now. Your video helped me understand a few of the subtleties that I didn’t know before.
I like a slight gloss or shimmer on my walls. Would Aura Satin for Classic Gray walls and Aura Satin for Super White trim be a good choice? Or should we do Semi-gloss for the Super White trim? It will be for new construction. We have a 2 yr old and 4 yr old so washability and durability is very important. Or we could do Aura Eggshell for walls and Aura Satin for trim in main areas and do Satin walls and Semi-gloss trim for kids bedrooms? Thanks for the tips.
We used to use satin for kitchen walls to be able to clean it now with the new technology most of the sheens are cleanable. If you are using Benjamin Moore then you can go for eggshell for the wall and ceiling paint ( flat) for ceiling. I suggest you use Aura for the kitchen! All the best.Cheers_Aida
Hi , you can use either eggshell or Matte if you are using Benjamin Moore paint. Matte will show less imperfection . If you are not using Benjamin Moore then i suggest eggshell. Cheers-Aida
Hi , Depending on the brand of the paint . We used to suggest satin or semi gloss for bathroom however Benjamin Moore came out with the paint called Aura bath and spa and it has a beautiful matt finish with the new technology that is perfect for bathroom. The technology of paint changed so much , for the kitchen you can choose satin or eggshell .I usually tile around the stove so eggshell on the wall of the kitchen is fine . Benjamin Moore has good quality paint Let me know if you have any questions Cheers-Aida
By finishes I believe you mean different sheen ? I did this video with all the equipment I had and I didn't have access to the walls with all different type of sheens and paint type . It is alot of differenttype . If you go to the Benjamin Moore paint store or your local paint store they have a sheen card that you can pick up . I hope that helps you . Cheers-Aida
@@Styluxdesignandconstructionltd Yes sheen, I’ve looked at different sheens at BM’s shop then tried to youtube so I could see what the walls actually look like in different sheens.
I understand the sheen are so settle that I thought the camera could capture it .The best is pick up a sheen chart .I wish you all the best. Cheers-Aida
This comment made me laugh! This was one of my first videos . I wasn’t used to the camera 😃 i probably will make an update version of this video. Cheers-Aida

What is the best finish for kitchen and bath walls? Should i use flat or matt on the ceiling?
for a 2o foot ceiling foyer and a living room what finish should be used which can be cleaned once in a while.
What about Benjamin Moore’s ulti matte?
If I’m painting my living room white (Chantilly Lace) would I be better off with eggshell or Matte?
For light colors , I prefer eggshell. Cheers_Aida

Without seeing the finishes this is useless. Would have been much better to show walls with different finishes while talking.

Whiner
It's so unbelievably useless to have a video TALKING about different finishes instead of SHOWING the actual differences.
She should probably eat more than once a week 😅
