What's even weirder about the lightbar quirk is that, to my knowledge, the lightbar functions as intended in Singleplayer mode, just not online for whatever reason. Have no idea what sort of code conundrum is happening that screws up the lightbar when online, but sounds like a classic GTA Online spaghetti code quirk, so, it's honestly not surprising.
How to do a merge glitch to get differnt color light bar?
The “light bar” is tied to the ascent color which is disabled in online so you can’t customize it and for some reason, by default, the ascent color is set to black.
So the only way to make the “light bar” apparent is to merge a car with ascents onto the Coureuse.

Because it has a different colour when spawned with a mod menu, by default cars have forced spawn parameters

The HSW bug is a known thing bring more attention to it so it gets fixed. Lock on jammer also is bugged. It happens when you drive the car out of your garage and to fix it you have to call the car in from the mechanic
Yeah, ALL imani tech cars suffer from the lock on jammer not working if you drive it out of a regular garage eg. Office tower garage or 10 car garage, it's been that way since launch and it's terrible, not surprised they never fixed it though tbh they clearly don't give a hoot about things not working as intended

@Infamyo yeah I found out doing the top speed freemode event, I had the drag hsw which is the fastest one and got my ass smoked by a guy who said he went 186.4 mph while I can only top out at 168

Its known that sometimes the hsw upgrades dont spawn in, it also happens in races. I noticed it first in an evet race with the sentinel hsw.
That's crazy cause at that point it's like what are you even paying for? A dice roll to make your car perform better??
I’m so glad you actually brought this up! This always happened to me when I had my cyclone 2. Driving out of my garage would take HSW off but calling it in would work just fine. It so annoying that I ended up selling it.
I believe it’s certain public lobbies that are bugged, which can cause your character, cars, etc to not work. I guarantee if you test it out with a invite only lobby it will be totally different.
I like how Ghillie finds and test stuff, if only Rockstar could be bothered to do the same
I've had this with my S95. I now have to store it in a garage I don't spawn into, then call it through Johnny on the spot.
HSW upgrades are definitely bugged in this game.
ive had it in the cyclone II, if you get your electric hsw vehicles out of any garage, then its slow, if you take it out of your ceo garage, then it will have the speedboost. if you call it, then theres like a 50/50 chance of you getting the speedboost or between. and ive driven the cyclone II for a while because its by favourite vehicle and i remembered that i always have to drive it out of my ceo garage for the speedboost
The HSW bug might have something to do with driving the car out a garage, specifically the CEO garage. That's what I noticed. Also it may have to do with the car being damaged. That's what I've found
No way damage slows the car down that much. It also happened when we called the car in. Not just from the garage so it’s very odd
I had my virtue in my agency and it did the hsw glitch and weirdly it happened after hitting a sign

Hey when you get a chance, you should make a video of all glitches to the game still not patched, like how on console, if you put armour on the Granger, the trim around it despawun, or how when you reverse with the champion, it has two right back reverse lights.
Maybe the hsw mode upgrade is broken?
Who am I kidding, the whole game is broken. Gta 5 was probably meant to take place in Vice City but it glitched out and turned into Los Santos or something.
At this point just should've made Armor Plating option on Penaud and MonstroCiti, no matter how ridiculous it would look on them. (on MonstroCiti it may look fitting tho)
I’ve actually had this issue ever since the next gen release.
Note: And it is on the normal vehicles and not just the electric ones. It mostly happens when I leave my garage instead of calling a car in by the mechanic, except exiting a garage seems like it completely removes the HSW upgrades, not permanently though (kinda like the sparrow, hunter, etc but the other way around) but it also happens to me when I enter interiors, I even get a slight nerf when I exit an HSW car for even a second. Once again I’ve known about this for a while and I’m glad someone else has caught on.
Damn bro hope it works out, them upgrades cost way too much for there to be glitches like that happening.
Still bugged after all this time, I give up on it. Waiting GTA 6 and nothing else now.
The hsw bug actually happens to some hsw cars. Look at the Camero for example It does it as well

Ever since Rockstar added HSW this created so much unbalance in the cars on new consoles.
This has to be one of the buggiest updates I've ever seen in GTA Online. Truly mind boggling to think a multi-billion dollar studio such as Rockstar Games doesn't even do Quality Assurance on their updates.
The hsw thing is bugged in general. I've had it a few times even on stinger gt where its like I've got no Hsw upgrades.

I was wondering why I kept losing my HSW upgrades on my car randomly. I noticed it only happens (80% of the time) whenever I enter LS Customs or exit a property when I enter with it.
I also noticed that there's a glitch where sometimes the missile lock on jammer does not work ((like the buffalo EVX as well)) and ppl can lock onto you even with it equipped... It's rare, and idk what triggers, it but it's a huge turn off. Cuz I absolutely love this car to death its awesome especially for PvP
As I write this comment, this week the car is in Simeon's to purchase, the one in Simeon's DOES come with the coloured/pulsating lightbar at the front, plus has the "champaigne" secondary colour which is not available to select if purchased via Legendary Motorsport. So maybe if it's in Simeon's it will have that feature. Just wanted to share.
There is a glitch that withholds the top speed of the HSW vigero it sometimes doesn’t reach its top speed and tops out at 135mph but if I change lobbies it reaches its top speed. Also you should of showed us the speed on the digital dash it gives you on the interior

My friend had a similar issue with his hackachu drag. I've also noticed during the top speed in ground vehicle free roam that the stinger tt hsw that's supposed to have a 168 mph when at max acceleration, didn't reach 168. I got in the 150s

The HSW electric cars being bugged makes sense because a while ago when the electric Audi came out some guy with a Mk2 oppressor locked onto my anti lock car and blew up in like 2 missiles with armor upgraded (this happened on ps4 btw so I thought it was a modder)
That moment a RENAULT outdoes Ferraris and Lamborghinis. And a majority of Supercars
Smh knew weird stuff was going on when a Oppressor blew me up with one homing missile when I had armor and the sun strip
Just curious are you on console or computer? I know you play on xbox but I don’t know if you play on pc as well. Any way the reason I ask is I am on ps4 and have noticed the pressure pads on my controller triggers are bad worn maybe your controller is experiencing similar issues
I was impromptu racing with a friend and we both had MonstroCiti with the same full HSW upgrade. He smoked me the same way. Looks like MonstroCiti gets this bug as well.
Your welcome for bringing awareness to the HSW speed bug hehe. People def experienced this, but prob didn’t realize it. Has the chance to happen with basically all HSW. Maybe it’ll get fixed eventually we’ll see.

The lightbar thing hasn't anything to do with the coloring of the windows? It happens to the Comet S2 when you get dark windows.
I’ve noticed the hsw upgrade glitch on loads of cars. For some reason they just felt a lot slower than usual. Sure enough, return it and call it back in, it’s fast again.. wtf 😂

See this is exactly why you don't want an EV!! I do find it very ironic though how an EV in this game doesn't blow up until much later when IRL it couldn't take the heat due to battery explosions. Anyhow thank you for pointing this out that's just super annoying like how am I supposed to know when my vehicle is randomly compromised of its performance??

Now I wonder if I keep calling this car back over and over, per say 10 + times, if it'd become in fact 10X faster in small increments...
The only thing I can think of is some sort of secret timer going down after driving out or calling up your car that works like it's intended to. After x amount of time the speed may forget that the hsw upgrade is there.
It's funny how long PC has been waiting for Expanded and Enhanced features such as HSW. Rockstar has been making us wait so long that they've had enough time to start fucking it up.

so here's a thought for you, the reason all these buggy half finished things are coming out, is because gta online is now running on a skeleton crew of people who don't know what they are doing because all the people who DID know what they were doing have been moved over to production on 6. it makes perfect sense to me.
i hit 255 with this car and i don’t remember how this was possible…
I thought I was going insane with these cars. I thought to myself, I have all the upgrades yet my cars felt slower at times but faster at other times. Shits so weird
The HSW speed glitch is also present with the Hakaichu Drag me and a buddy have both the same upgrades both HSW but he is somehow faster then me and I’m faster then him at times HSW is definitely bugged
I noticed a glitch where the car won't turn on, I have to get out and use remote vehicle function to start it up
Try opening a support ticket about the HSW thing, not to see if they'll fix it, but to see what kind of BS response you'll get.
The rear bumper on LeFrog reverts back to stock (on PC) when changing session types or leaving online. I submitted a support ticket. I got a step by step on how to start my computer in safe mode. As if there was a program on my PC with a line of code that affects ONLY the rear bumper of JUST that car.
I knew I wasn’t crazy, I saw some dude going Mach Chicken in one of these things during a mission. He was even faster than the BRZ

A little bit of damage eff at performance a lot in these new cars. Also, I wouldn’t doubt that rockstar gives the last person to call the car the best performance to prevent the game from crashing. if two people in a small area push the game past it’s limits with vehicles faster than GTA was programmed for, it causes too many objects to load in in such a short period of time causing lag and sometimes the game to crash
5:10 the turbo or transmission upgrades been glitching for awhile, happens on all the cars, sometimes when you go into a car shop to fix it, it suddenly feels slower, then you call it back out, and its back to normal
been driving me nuts honestly, one of a boatload of problems the game has
the most noticeable one is with the Caddie CTS V sedan, the V Cts thing, like you go in and do anything to it and it often looses the speed boost and goes back to stock.

I noticed a couple months back when I would drive my Hakoucho drag bike out of the garage it would lose the HSW upgrades because the top speed was way lower, then I'd return it and recall it and it would be fine. Never happened if I had it delivered as well so who knows what R* did 🤷♂️
You're not alone at some instances i feel like im driving in slowmo and other instances after im used to the slowness the mf kicks like a mule and hauls ass
The merge probably messed it up.
That’s so weird. The only difference I could see in the vid was the rear spoiler. In Formula cars the spoilers make a difference, could it be some Rockstar bug, so HSW cars have that too? Probably not, but maybe worth testing.

I think these performance bugs has been in the game for years. Its happen to me with the tempesta. Me and my mate were roll raci-, um i mean "racing in Mexico 🤭🤫"on the highways, i was in the tempesta and he was in the retinue mk2. There were times where i win and he would win. I did exactly what ghillie did. I returned my car, called it back, drove back to the garage, checked all my upgrades, and sometimes on the stats bar of the car it would show that my top speed is abit lower with maxed upgrades, i had to buy the upgrades again to fix the issue. We even did some digs as well and still same results, sometimes im faster and sometimes hes faster. There is a performance bug with alot of cars that im not sure with every car but the tempesta is one of them.
HSW cars have a bug with the engine power after you merge them, i found you can get the full HSW power if you merge off the broken HSW car to another random car

Something to do with the red light on the dashboard? Forgot to get a passenger in to see what the light is. Red light on the left hand side of the dash behind your hand comes on around 100mph.
When I use the Itali GTO TT sometimes it feels slower than it actually is. I return it to storage and call it through my mechanic and it feels way faster

There's even a bug that happened to me when I blew up a sticky bomb on my LC and I couldn't enter any garages with it.
I didn't have the Fukaru sunstrip on tho.
I saw the sunstrip thing on TikTok and was like "okay that has to be fake. A car that gains armor when it has a specific sunstrip?". Well...I was proven wrong XD

At this point Rockstar is ridiculous, you have to put the Fukaru on your windshield to get Imani protection and as you said Ghillie it was the same for the Monstrocity where you have to choose the Racing interior to get additional armor, that's just so stupid, they don't even test their shit for a few minutes... Those new electric sport cars are better than military vehicules IF you change their cosmetic, so dumb
The performance bug is not vehicular or HSW specific. I was in a hot ring race Saturday with my car and my performing as normal. I respawned it with no good results. A later hot ring race and the car was normal.

Nah. It was happening with the other non merged car as well. These tests were recorded with both cars.
